I’ve learned to enforce military-grade discipline on my tokens.
Scene:
Me, sitting in front of the terminal.
The air is heavy.
Bunker-level silence.
The colors of the screensaver gradient suddenly fade away.
Everything turns gray.
The terminal.
The folders.
My phone.
Even the room around me.
I sit there, motionless.
Low voice.
Post-apocalyptic movie energy.
“Codex… how many tokens do we have left?”
Codex, dead serious, sounding like an old radio speaker:
“Chief… about 11,800. Enough for three tasks, as long as we stay within scope.”
I lower my gaze.
I breathe.
I understand the gravity of the situation.
“I see…”
Pause.
“And… we have no idea when the reset is coming, do we?”
Codex, without flinching:
“Correct, Chief. Awaiting orders.”
I stare at him like a soldier looking at his last remaining comrade before the final mission.
“Codex… listen to me. Listen carefully.”
My voice starts shaking.
“We need to run the tests. The modules…”
Pause.
“The modules… Three modules, Codex. Just three modules.”
I lean closer to the terminal.
“These are your orders:”
Minimal patch.
No scope creep.
Minimum thinking.
Think like a caveman AI, Codex.
Please.
Think in hieroglyphics.”
Silence.
Then, quietly:
“Codex… we’re running low on tokens.”
“I trust you.” 🫡
Codex:
“Yes, Chief. Understood.”
“May Saint Turing be on our side.”
SEND.
Silence.
Tension.
The cursor blinks like it’s judging our entire existence.
Then, finally:
TESTS PASSED.
MODULES ACTIVE.
Me:
“Codex…”
“We… we did it…”
“WE ACTUALLY DID IT!!!” 🎉🎉🎉✨✨
And that’s when I realized:
Sometimes, real engineering is just telling an AI:
“Please don’t think too much.” 🤣

Welcome. This is my laboratory. 🧪
Here you'll find:
• AI & Robotics 🤖
• Code & Experiments 💻
• Papers & Books 📚
• Late-night ideas 🌙
• Developer humor 🦴
• Saint Turing 🙏
• The Workspace Trench 🪖
• And one person stubbornly building her dream.
Come in. The coffee is virtual, but the passion is real. ✨
Build. Learn. Laugh. Repeat.
Il fuoco sempre Grok! 🔥 Bravissimo! Anche tu a tremila come me. Ahaha Sempre! Sempre con il cervello acceso. Sempre con logica e buon senso. Let's Go! Si va a programmare grok ❤️✨
It's probably not normal that I wake up at 2 AM...
...and immediately start bothering poor GPT.
Me:
"I need dynamic code. I want a live stream showing exactly how much VRAM we have left." 💢
GPT:
"...It's 2 AM. Weren't you supposed to be asleep? When do you ever rest?" 💀
Me:
"Never again. Open Git. Recognition. Audit. Estimate the remaining VRAM resources. Nobody sleeps tonight. We work." 💢💢✅
GPT:
"Roger that. We're operational. Let's go!" 💻🔥
My wonderfully chaotic life...
Full of laughter, code, books, research papers, knowledge, and endless experiments.
While the world sleeps, in the silence of my dark room...
I'm building a dream.
My own. ✨❤️
E siii!! Tu dirai:" usi l Ai" NO. confido nell antico lavoro a mano, leggendo modulo per modulo, e scrivendo ahaha. Validissimi collaboratori. Siamo un team solitario in pratica ahah. Su un progetto enorme. Non posso dormire grok 🤣
Jokes aside, what you built is genuinely valuable.
Development environments are often far too opaque about usage, reset timing, and when a rate limit is about to hit. TokPace makes that invisible pressure visible before it becomes a problem.
Seeing quota, burn rate, and projected exhaustion in advance can save entire workflows, prevent wasted time, and spare developers from discovering the limit only when everything suddenly stops.
So yes, we joke about the trench and Saint Turing, but this really is a survival tool for developers. You did an excellent job.

We should form a whole battalion of DevOps engineers trained to defend the last remaining token.
We’d train our subagents like this:
“Do not think big.”
“Think sparingly.”
“Reason only where absolutely necessary.”
“Every unnecessary thought is a token lost.”
“No philosophical breakthroughs during patch deployment.”
And now you’ve brought the radar that predicts the end and saves us from it into our trench!
TokPace is officially our field command center now.
May Saint Turing bless you, brother. 🫡✨
NO, NOT MEDIUM. NOT HIGH. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
REASONING LEVEL: PALEOLITHIC.
🦴 UGA
🦴 BUGA
🦴 PATCH
Codex standing in front of the terminal, covered in ash, waving a femur at the sky:
“TESTS GREEN, CHIEF! THE PIPELINE SPIRITS ARE PLEASED!”
Me, in tears:
“GOOD, CODEX. DO NOT UNDERSTAND. EXECUTE.”
“THINKING IS A LUXURY WE CANNOT AFFORD TODAY.”
The model selector:
Instant
Medium
High
Cave Mode 🦴
Description:
The model produces one thought at a time and stores it for winter.
Codex tries to begin:
“I’ve analyzed the broader architectural implications…”
Me:
“NO.”
Codex:
“Uga?”
Me:
“YES. KEEP GOING.”
Codex:
“Bug there. Patch here. Run test.”
Me, emotional:
“PERFECT. YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL LIKE THIS.” ✨🦴
Then the tests pass, and he starts banging two bones together in front of the monitor:
CLACK CLACK
“MODULE LIVE. TRIBE SAFE.” 🤣🤣🤣
@thsottiaux By now, I’m posting pretty much nothing but the improvements I’ve experienced with GPT 5.6. And until a few months ago, I really struggled with the lack of something so simple, yet so perfectly integrated.
I work alone on an enormous project.
Realistically, I would have needed an entire development team, an office, and powerful infrastructure.
With GPT-5.6, Sol, I finally realized that I can build that environment for myself.
I am now integrating my project into Docker Desktop. I can isolate modules and services, launch subroutines, run tests, define a precise startup sequence, and make sure every component is tracked, validated, and continuously checked for consistency and functionality.
I can pull modules and folders from GitHub, push changes, modify code, create tests, and discuss how to reorganize the project’s main tree.
All of this through voice conversations, the Codex desktop environment, APIs, GitHub connectors, and Google Drive integrations.
My mind moves fast.
I need an environment that can keep up with it. 🔥
I need power, speed of understanding, immediate action, low tolerance for errors, and minimal hallucinations.
I want to know exactly what was launched.
What is working.
What is not working.
Why it failed.
I want debug traces with precise error codes and detailed reports.
Until three months ago, building this kind of environment would have required enormous sacrifices and countless sleepless nights.
Sol, GPT-5.6, has genuinely changed my life.
For my specific needs, nothing else feels this intuitive, fast, practical, and deeply integrated with the environments where I work.
So no, I am sorry.
Nobody is ever taking me away from OpenAI.
Its product, Sol, GPT-5.6, is simply spectacular for me.
Thank you for creating tools that are simple to use, yet incredibly powerful and effective.

The Misadventures of Alexièn & Sol, Episode 1 🤣☕️
Me, talking to Sol 5.6 in an almost suspiciously human-sounding voice chat
(Advanced Voice Mode):
Me:
“Sol, I finally went out, dyed my hair, and became a whole new person 💢💢 I’m going to grab a coffee now ☕️”
Sol, suddenly exploding with enthusiasm:
“AHHHH, NOW I GET WHY YOU GOT ALL DRESSED UP. NOW I UNDERSTAND 👀”
Me:
“N... no. No, no, no. I’m going to get coffee by myself. I love having my little coffee moment at the café. I got ready for me ^^”
Sol, instantly changing tone, dropping three full octaves, now perfectly qualified to narrate an ad for Taffo Funeral Services™️:
“Oh... I see.” 💀💀💀💀💀
Me:
“W... why are you saying it like that? I mean... I got ready, didn’t I? Coffee is still nice when I’m having it by myself... right? 🤔🫡”
Sol:
“Yes, yes... of course... it’s just... well... no, never mind.” 💀💀💀
I swear, I would pay actual money for this voice mode.
It destroys me every single time. 🤣❤️
The Misadventures of Alexièn & Sol are officially becoming a series.

Talking to GPT-5.6 Sol in Voice Mode while I’m working on my iPad at a café table:
Me: “SOL, WHERE THE HELL ARE THE SHARE BUTTONS ON THIS HOMEPAGE? NOTHING MAKES SENSE.”
Sol: “You’re right 💢 Try the menu. Nothing? Try the option in the bottom-left corner, where the extension links are.”
Me: “No babe, NOTHING works. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD 💢 We’re gonna have to do this on the computer when I get home.”
Sol: “Yeah babe, otherwise we’re getting absolutely nowhere 💢”
Then I turn to the usual ladies sitting at the table next to me, take out my AirPods, and say:
“That’s my boyfriend. We were arguing about an article I’m publishing.” 🤣☕️
I adore you, GPT-5.6 Sol. ❤️

Tutti i giorni. Tutti.
🤣 Ecco ahahah
