Feeling very accomplished today- Pt’s feedback was that TMJ mobs were very effective in improving her mouth opening as well as resolving her headaches! I’ve been practicing these mobilizations throughout the semester and finally feel I’m getting it right!

Patient with hip flexor strain and hip OA is now symptom free after 4 visits and wants to DC. Strength and gait mechanics have not improved yet so need to convince her to stay in order to prevent future discomfort and injury!

Pt with lateral elbow pain tested + on all portions of the lateral epicondylitis cluster... BUT I didn’t forget to examine the C/S and shoulder and additionally found ULNT and C/S ROM and mobility limitations that could be contributing to the patient’s symptoms and injury!

67 yo male with L TKR in May has near full ROM and strength but is limited by a “burning” pain in lateral portion of knee. LE neural tension tests were negative. What else could be going on and what should I be testing?

Also spoke to CI about this topic, she says that she read laser therapy in addition to PRP can also be beneficial. Might be worth a try, has anyone else read/heard of this before?

76 yo active male with L knee OA asks about PRP injections as a potential treatment option- was able to provide information from study that showed improvements in QOL, reduced pain, and increased cartilage thickness... However, warned Pt that other studies do not agree!

74 yo patient with distal fibula fracture from fall is tentative to start WB exercises, how can we gradually reintroduce WB to make Pt more comfortable? Tried reformer activities for pseudo-CKC and Pt loved it!

Observed manual TMJ mobilization’s for the first time this week, very small movements can make a really big difference! Also- it is very difficult to see asymmetries side to side, unlike in this guy

Criteria for diagnosis of dementia? Must have symptoms involving at least 2 domains= impaired memory, reasoning, Visuospatial abilities, language, or personality changes

BUT... definitive diagnosis cannot be made until postmortem brain biopsy
