Addison Trego (2027)’s Clutch Hitting Propels SE Rising Sherrill 18U To Victory Over NC Challengers Premier Renzi 18U

Addison Trego (2027) drove in four runs on two hits to lead SE Rising Sherrill 18U past NC Challengers Premier Renzi 18U 11-2 on Sunday. Trego (2027) hit a home run 🥎 to left field in the second inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the fourth inning, scoring two.

SE Rising Sherrill 18U were the first to get on the board in the second when Trego (2027) homered to left field, scoring two runs.

A single by Reese Poole (2027) UNCG Commit, a triple by Savanna Henderson (2027) Kentucky Commit, and a walk by Maddy Steele (2026) helped SE Rising Sherrill 18U extend their early lead in the third.

SE Rising Sherrill 18U scored five runs on three hits in the top of the fourth inning. Steele (2026) was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Trego (2027) singled, scoring two runs, Victoria Mackenzie (2028) was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Carolina Constable (2026) Kentucky Commit singled, scoring one run.

Josey Kegley (2027) Providence Commit earned the win for SE Rising Sherrill 18U. The pitcher surrendered five hits and two runs over three innings, striking out four and walking none. Remie Smith (2027) appeared in relief for SE Rising Sherrill 18U.

SE Rising Sherrill 18U accumulated nine hits in the game. Leadoff hitter Constable (2026) Kentucky Commit led SE Rising Sherrill 18U with three hits in four at bats. Henderson (2027) Kentucky Commit led SE Rising Sherrill 18U with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. SE Rising Sherrill 18U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Steele (2026) had the most chances in the field with four.
