#ProjectAfrica Day 95/96: 50km/53km

When I came up with the idea of running the entire length of Africa, the physical challenge probably wasn’t even top 3 things I found the most daunting. Being totally honest the financial one was always the big one to solve for me.

Missions like this cost a lot of money. And I ain’t ever had much of it. So convincing people that did, to give me some, was the first problem to solve. It took years to figure out. Ended up starting in April with less than 10% of what we needed. Big risk. I ain’t ever heard a good story start with “so I decided to play it safe” though.

96 days on and we are fortunate to have partnered with some great brands (that I genuinely believe in) to help support us to the finish line. I know there’s been a few bits of sponsored content recently but I massively appreciate all of you guys getting behind that. It wouldn’t be possible without it.

Wanted to share because there is so much that goes into a project like this other than some daft ginger cowboy mashing up tarmac everyday. I can’t imagine there is too many of you out there looking to get 15,000km jogs underway but big dreams are universal and big obstacles inevitable so I just wanted to say, if that’s you, I’ve been there. Still there. Scheming away 247. There’s always a way. It won’t be easy. Face first into the chaos anyway though🫡
