"Lifestyle medicine -- a healthy, plant-based diet; 30 minutes a day of physical activity; daily stress reduction; and eight hours sleep each night -- will do more for you than any medication or treatment in the world." - Alex M. McDonald, MD CAQSM FAAFP

Donald Trump's former White House press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, speaks at the DNC and says she will vote for Kamala Harris.

"I saw him when the cameras were off," she says about Trump. "Behind closed doors, Trump mocks his supporters. He calls them 'basement dwellers.' ...He has no empathy, no morals and no fidelity to the truth."

🎂Happy 25th birthday to us! On June 8, 1999, the #GrahamCenter opened its doors in Washington, D.C. with five employees. Today, the RGC team continues to inform policies that support family medicine and primary care and improve individual and population health. #RGCat25

[Douglas Henley, MD, FAAFP @fammedfeisty]

The AMA President is correct - "There are 83 million Americans today who don't have access to primary care," said Jesse Ehrenfeld. "The problem is here. It's acute in rural parts of the country, it's acute in underserved communities." But in addition to the primary care physician shortage, there is a greater problem of affordability - yes, lots of folks now have insurance 'coverage' but with high deductibles and co-pays, people find it hard to even afford primary care!

There should be NO co-pays, no co-insurance, and NO deductibles when you see a primary care physician! Regardless of what type of insurance you have.

The health care workforce crisis is already here https://t.co/3d0V1RIjy7
