Australia housing is f*****.
Australia’s property crisis isn’t just about bricks and mortgages, it’s a slow chokehold on the future. Young couples stare at $1.5 million shoeboxes and ask: kids? How? Daycare’s $500 a week, a second rent disguised as ‘care,’ while wages limp and rents climb faster than hope. You’re lucky to earn $80k, but the bank says ‘not enough’, so you wait, and wait, and maybe give up. The biological clock ticks louder than ever, but the market doesn’t care. Earn 200k? Good luck, maybe you get a 2 bed unit with parking.
Then there’s the commute. Affordable homes, if you can call them that, push you 60, 80, 100 kilometers out. Two hours each way, five days a week, stealing time from kids you can’t afford to have anyway. You’re not living; you’re surviving a treadmill powered by property greed. Meanwhile, the lower class camps in bushland or crams six to a room, and the middle class, once the backbone, shrinks into a ghost story. Construction stalls, approvals tank, and politicians peddle 2030 fairy tales while prices soar past reason.
I love that we have people educating Australian's at how bad this is, with great content creators like @punterspolitix and @BikoKonstantin1 calling out this BS.
This isn’t a housing shortage, it’s a class purge. The rich hoard equity, the rest scramble for scraps, and the ‘Australian Dream’ turns into a privilege for the few. Who builds a society when the foundation’s priced out? When daycare costs more than a uni degree used to, and a home means a lifetime of debt or exile? We’re not just losing roofs, we’re losing a generation, a culture, a shot at something better.
@NaVi_GaT0R It’s funny reading this as someone who has purchased Fireblocks multiple times for companies. You can’t do business with FB without a clear, commercial contract. Especially with a project on Cardano.
@eddie_d123@ElderM Yep, I get. From our end, intent based systems are very well known across chain, it’s not for Cardano. For instance, Thorchain does a good job with some of the visual charts and explanations they do for intent based, same for layer zero. We got some work to do here.
@ElderM@eddie_d123 Okay, I guess when you phrase it like that, I can understand your perspective more. I do think this got more heated than usual, perhaps because we all misunderstood each other. Let me digest this, I’ll bring it up in our team meeting and I’ll take what’s been discussed onboard
@ElderM@eddie_d123 This is also the fundamental reason why I have stopped investing in Cardano projects. Cardano developers and community are not supportive or open minded. They are hostile, aggressive and don’t want anyone to succeed. With over 20 seed investments, Cardano is the only on issue.
@ElderM@eddie_d123 I only became hostile when you made it clear you don’t even intend on using the product. I’m a business man, why am I wasting precious time and energy on folks who genuinely have no interest in my product? When multiple people pulling us to expand on the product and are excited?
@eddie_d123@ElderM Did you not read the thread? We answered the questions once we understood it. Elder provided an interesting perspective and we can now understand the confusion, and now we will add that extra documentation to clarify it, particularly on the Cardano side
@NaVi_GaT0R It will be from entities. I explored this with Immutable, we had to commit at least $50M. Maybe different rules now days, but for sure it’s not outside capital.
@eddie_d123@ElderM I’ll re-iterate, no customers have had any issues, we have an open discord, my calendar is always open to chat and walk through anything. Based on our chat with Elder, we will make some changes to the documents to explain the smart contract side more. Although niche to Cardano
@ElderM So to confirm, the only confusion / clarity is not how intent based swaps work from Mynth but specifically in the instance where a Cardano intent base swap occurs?
@ElderM@shaggyrax You had to repeat the question because the question didn’t make sense, the documents highlighted it and we couldn’t work out where you were confused. Again, I offered to fund a wallet for you to use the product and give constructive feedback.
@shaggyrax@ElderM Shaggy I’ll give you the TLDR - it was all well documented and we went in circles around a key point that could have been answered if we understand the question better. Intent based swaps require a different type of build. Anyone that know about intents understands why.
@ESCOweb3@ElderM But again this is all wild fud. The token was launched as air drop, it had no TGE. The IDO was to help support cross chain activities and get pools going for swaps. You can see team wallets, it’s all documented and transparent. My wallet is literally called Roosey…
@eddie_d123@ElderM My man, the document literally explaines the process and why it’s built in that way. When doing intent based swaps it works very differently. I would strongly suggest to have a glance at how the process works and again if you have any specific questions I’m happy to answer
