king of grass Taylor Fritz, the only man who can stop Zverev from winning back to back slams, is back
he wins his first match of the grass-court summer over Landaluce in a third-set tiebreaker
one thing about fandoms 😭 once they put someone on a pedestal, they'll excuse behavior they'd absolutely drag anyone else for. this level of selective accountability needs to be studied.
@xaviems7@teamosinner It’s more worrying to follow him than to celebrate his win and post about how much the abuser deserved the title? Mental gymnastics. The alt right millionaire you’re defending doesn’t deserve the excuses. They all suck, but Alcaraz and Djokovic are on another level in this
@xaviems7@teamosinner He didn’t celebrate the Roland Garros win. Alcaraz did. You’re going for false equivalence to convince yourself it’s the same but it isn’t. Again, the only ones who celebrated Zverev’s win in the top 10 were Alcaraz and Djokovic, and they knew what they are doing and why
@minopapi1 Bro he had a deal breaking Nike deal. Everyone was talking about Sinner before Alcaraz broke through. Go back and read old posts if you don’t believe but I don’t get why you’re trying to rewrite history to look edgy.
@xergvv@minopapi1 Yeah I’m sure that’s why Alcaraz was on the cheap Nike deal even in 2024 and Sinner had a record breaking 150+ million deal from Nike.
You’re trying to rewrite history
@minopapi1 I clearly said before 2022. I also clearly said he was top 10 in their first meeting in 2021.
BEFORE 2022, Sinner was the one everyone hyped and talked about.
@xaviems7@teamosinner Yeah, it sucks they’re all on good terms with the abuser. But Alcaraz and Djokovic were the only ones in the top 10 who applauded his win in Paris knowing the allegations he has.
@xaviems7@teamosinner Did he publicly celebrate his win knowing the DV allegations? He didn’t. Alcaraz did and thats where he stands on the matter. Same as Djokovic and he shares the same values.
@xaviems7@teamosinner There’s a vast difference between what Alcaraz, Djokovic and Nadal did and what Federer and Sinner did. Not getting involved (as cowardly as it is) is still vastly preferable to celebrating the abuser.
@xaviems7@teamosinner 1. They were flying to the same destination and no they weren’t going on a vacation together.
2. There’s a line between not getting involved/being collegial and publicly using your platform to celebrate the achievements of someone you know has multiple unresolved DV allegations
