YA i think a thing that gets me wanting to explain this to ppl is that in hs, we'd have exchange students studying at our school up in norcal where the weather is influenced much more heavily by the pacific rainforests, and theyd be disappointed/shocked by how cold wet and dark it usually is up there, because whenever people talk about cali they think of hot sunny beaches and stuff, not,,, wet trees
@2aQueer oh yeah central cali is def the most diverse "section" of the state and deserves more specification in its regions its just simpler to refer to them all under that banner. like santa cruz is entirely different from sf and even sf is distinct from east bay theres just alot for twt
@2aQueer especially going north from central or socal since ur leaving some of the most populated places in the country and going to some of the least populated while still in the same state
@2aQueer YEA i actually did this rough thing earlier to visualize lol. if u do alot of north/south driving along the 101 north of sf or the I5 above sac or down to socal u will see the geography and towns gradually become somewhere completely different from what ur used to in real time
cuddling and kissing my gf on her head while she squirms under me and makes cute little sounds until she falls asleep in my arms π€π€π€ shes so cute and sweet and i love her and she makes me so happy and shes the best and shes my world and she
@2aQueer nah thats where central cali and socal meet. norcal is almost entirely extremely rural woodlands and isolated little towns NORTH of the golden gate. its entirely distinct from the rest of cali, just like the bay and socal are to themselves. if ur in a big city, ur not in norcal
@FEMSOFTWARE real!! when ive lived around the bay i was definitely living in "The Bay" all around there has a feeling that is not present living further north or south its rlly cool
@FEMSOFTWARE yea some people know that norcal is a distinct (and incredibly rural) part of the state NORTH of the golden gate, but lots of bay ppl just call themselves norcal anyway to distinguish themselves from socal when they should say theyre from central cali or the bay. its not the same
