Probably added (my estimate) £10-13m to the value of the squad with that change in HG status.
Ecstatic to have contributed to that - a worthwhile personal lifetime contribution to the club from me.
A seat alongside Terry Brown at games will suffice as thanks. #nostatuepls
West Ham have changed their stance on Crysencio Summerville status and he will now be included as a home grown player in the Premier League submitted squad of 25.
That means West Ham currently have nine home grown players
@jmarsh5643@WestHamViews_ I think your assessment is way off. But even if we paid a fair price, where's our edge? How do we grow the squad doing that?
We can't. The club has and will fail doing that. And it is!
@jmarsh5643@WestHamViews_ I never said it was. It's the club's money. They need to spend it well to succeed.
You're implying it's irrelevant to the fans. Yet fans march against the owners. Overpaying for players is a big reason why.
Amazing to me some people can't join the dots, it's so straightforward.
@Max363698571322@WestHamViews_ Yes, because I want the club to succeed. If it overpays for players it cannot.
If you don't care about that you're part of the problem imo.
@COYIronscom It's probably technically true. Over 15 years perhaps?
The counter argument needs to be comparing the actual standard of facilities to comparative PL clubs.
Piecemeal upgrades vs an actual vision on how to train excellence.
