In a recent town hall meeting at the New Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos, I had the opportunity to engage in a meaningful dialogue with the 'End Bad Governance' protesters.

During our discussion, I reassured the coalition of youths of my unwavering commitment to their demands. I emphasized that the path to realizing the dividends of good governance lies in collaboration between the government and its citizens. Together, we can create lasting change.

My administration has already taken several steps to alleviate the economic burdens on our citizens. We've introduced initiatives to support micro and small businesses and are working to enhance agribusiness opportunities, particularly for our youth. Additionally, we have signed into law an electricity bill that will enable Plateau State to generate its own electricity, reducing dependency and costs.

I am deeply appreciative of the peaceful nature of these protests. The youth of Plateau State have shown themselves to be progressive, dynamic individuals who are committed to improving our state's standard of living.

I share in the frustration when children are denied education due to insecurity, when lives are lost because healthcare is unaffordable, and when businesses falter under the weight of high electricity tariffs.

My administration is committed to addressing these issues head-on. We will continue to strive for quality healthcare, improved education, enhanced security through advanced technology and intelligence gathering, and an enabling environment for lawful businesses.

I also commend our security agencies for their professionalism and the protesters for their peaceful approach. Your dedication to ending bad governance is truly commendable.

Together, we can make Plateau State a model of good governance and progress.
