But according to DeMeco Ryans the goal was to “make sure we are aggressive, make sure we're getting hands on and playing them tight and sticky. That was our game plan.”

Hard to do that in off coverage.

Stingley also said “if you're off and you trying to put hands on, then you got [to worry about] flags and illegally contact & stuff like that.”

Multiple times this week when asked about the CB’s not pressing JSN, DeMeco said the game plan was to get hands on JSN. Stingley today: “The play call tells me to be off, I’m gonna be off…Can’t do my own thing. I’ve never done that, that’s not who I am.” What the hell is going on?
