Circa 2017 to 2019, an old friend of mine from primary school would often come to Blantyre on weekends. He was working in Zomba and had just landed his first job with an organisation that had secured some big funding. He had bought his first car, was doing very well financially, and every weekend he came, he would take me and my friends out, pay for everything, and even leave us with cash. We are age mates, although he is a month younger than me, so naturally I admired him. At the time, I was broke, fresh from uni and running an org with no funding, chasing a dream that often felt impossible. My friend seemed miles ahead. Today, after I had just sent him some money, we were on a phone call and he said, "Life is unpredictable. Back in 2017, who would have thought that today I would be the broke one? You used to admire me so much." I laughed and replied, "Its seasons bro”. Interestingly, I never looked down on myself. I always knew my time would come. I was only 24 and saw no reason to feel like a failure simply because someone my age was doing better. People start from different places, move at different speeds, and arrive at different times. Even today, at 33, I still have friends and age mates who are doing better than I am, but that does not make me feel left behind because life is not a competition. I told my friend the same thing that there is no reason for him to feel like a loser because one season has become more difficult than another. So let me say this to every young person starting out in life: run your own race. Do not fall victim to comparison, the thief of joy. You are not supposed to have everything figured out while you are still young. Keep working hard, keep growing, and trust your journey. Do not measure your life against someone else's because your timing is different, your path is different, and you have your own story to write!

We are the ones to see to it that God’s purpose is fulfilled in the earth and in the lives of men. He gave us the authority, the ability, and the responsibility.
Our intercessory ministry is through and by the Spirit. As we intercede, the Holy Spirit takes hold together with us against the forces of darkness to establish the righteousness of God in every place.

Another amazing impact of our intercessory prayers is that through it, we bind the “strong man” satan: “Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man...” (Matthew 12 :9). For us to record a massive harvest of souls in the nations as we should in these last days, we must break the power and influence of satan and demons over the minds and lives of those who haven’t yet known the Lord. As you pray, declare that the power and influence of satan and his demons over their lives are broken in the Name of Jesus. Proclaim that as they hear the Gospel, they understand and receive it for their salvation in Christ Jesus. Intercession is always on behalf of others; you’re directing God’s grace, power and influence toward others and pleading your case in their interest.

That requires importunity, consistency and fervency in prayer (James 5: 16 AMPC). So, keep praying; don’t stop until the will of God is fully established.
