Tuvimos la oportunidad de presentar un documento en el que participamos junto a un lindo equipo de personas que realizan intervención comunitaria en Canada 🇨🇦, Nigeria 🇳🇬, Uganda 🇺🇬, Indonesia 🇮🇩, Zimbabue 🇿🇼, Kenia 🇰🇪, Portugal 🇵🇹, Estados Unidos 🇺🇸 y México 🇲🇽.

Below video claimed to be taken in an overdose prevention site went viral, person who posted later admitted its not from inside a site.

I've seen sites in Copenhagen, Mexicali, Barcelona, Lisbon, Melbourne, Tijuana & Glasgow where I previously managed one. Some photos inside show the reality, if it be fully medicalised models like Melbourne, or ran most relying on donated injecting equipment and Naloxone like Mexicali and Tijuana or if it be unsanctioned ran by volunteers and funded entirely by kind hearted people via a go fund me page, in my experience they all have one thing in common, people feel respected and cared for, some people who have spent the majority of their lives in prison and/or on the streets for the first time in their lives.

Sadly these posts that go viral spread a message that even the person posting has admitted is inaccurate, cause lasting damage, being seen by millions and taken as truth.

The fact he has not taken it down says a lot, these types of people and accounts that post pictures and videos of people struggling are the worst, how low some go is shocking, clearly they have no compassion or moral compass despite claiming they want to help.

I hope a few people see these pictures and words, I have had no greater reward in anything I've done in my life other than becoming a father than having provided somewhere comfortable for people who would normally be in the most horrible situations.
