@eddie1perez You have a point, absolute freedom of speech is perilous . But this is the path western civilization has taken is on. We cannot turn back or we lose the very ideals we stand for. By personalizing the issue and blaming Musk, by not participating and denegrading, you are a coward.
@RnaudBertrand Agree with all you have written. IMHO the end game is the economy. Direct and complete hot war is not viable because of nuclear weapons. The Americans have figured that breaking the world economy would give them a relative advantage. Not sure they have calculated well.
@RnaudBertrand Thanks Arnaud, thought provoking indeed. Broken trust in the west is also a function of the unrestricted information channels. No longer centrally controlled , msm has been challenged and found wanting. Autocratic societies are still “protected “ by their msm. Freedom kills trust
@Ayaan Thank https://t.co/cshJNBiRi2 well expressed Ayaan. Religion certainly has many warts , but without a moral compass ,we would soon return to the law of the jungle. We see the warts of religion, but we don’t see what life would have been like with no religious or moral guidance.
@Louise_m_perry@KonstantinKisin Mass immigration and social media have created armies within countries. The future of war is no longer between countries, but within countries
@KonstantinKisin@DavidSacks Unfortunately the effects of this catastrophic miscalculation are still snowballing into a wider geopolitical conflict. No more hubris and idealism please. There is more than one player in this game.
@GadSaad That beautiful western anomaly is in the past. Western society has been weakened by its very success, by greed, selfishness and hyper liberalism. This has left the logical centre open to be represented by autocratic ideologies. The first battle is to revive our western values.
@RichardDawkins@freddiesayers Human flourishing certainly trumps truth, which is often subjective, one sided and changes over time. Too much emphasis on this illusion of the stability of truth.
@VusiThembekwayo As long as there are lights like you in this country, Vusi, there is hope. May many more lights shine. May the preachers of darkness be encouraged to look for opportunity for light rather than darkness.
@caitoz The, so called, establishment is dynamic. Musk is part of it, of course, but his current role is to correct an abuse of power, not to perpetuate it. An establishment, of one kind or other, will always exist. We must celebrate that our system supports correction, before revolution.
