Two guys got into a fight in Computer Village
People tried to separate them, but they refused.
One of the guys stäbbēd the other in the neck, and he dïëd on the spot.
To avoid being lynchëd by the möb , he ran to the police station himself
This is not even far-fetched, but Nigerians will call you crazy. 😂
Nigerians have every reason to believe that some of these big GOs are tied to foreign intelligence.
The way they are used to further political agendas and shape social narratives in this country is quite disturbing.
Professional exam like MDCN is not what you can ever read by being taught by external bodies like it’s applicable with ICAN where you can either self learn or get private tutors to teach you, you can’t self learn to pass the required exams to be qualified as a Medical Doctor, you know all of these bro, what you’ll be asked are questions relating to what you’ve been taught mostly during the wards in the Hospital, what you’ve experienced with patients coupled with other theoretical knowledges.
That being said, I have issues with the total gatekeep NSE is doing, my friend @Ifwal95 read Physics for his Bachelors degree, he’s today an Engineer working with a Fortune 500 company in the state, in Nigeria, the NSE won’t allow him to be their member despite having all the prerequisite qualifications, I have an issue with this too, I also believe anyone who studied Building and have over the years extend the scope of his profession beyond building of houses to roads construction and other related activities can and should be allowed to be a member by COREN.
But on Medicine & Nursing, c’mon, this is a different ball game
✔️4yrs to study Accounting/Economics .
✔️2yrs in ICAN to get ACA.
Then a graduate of Linguistics or Botany can earn d same ACA with just 2yrs in ICAN.
I don’t support gatekeeping, but the entry framework needs to be re-examined for fairness and relevance.
Her POV is very correct especially if you compare it with other professional qualifications that are limited to those that have a degree in that profession only.
Why should someone study accounting or a related course and still have to come out and compete with people that want to change professions just because they can write an exam and become chartered.
After competing for the certification, you still have to compete with them in the workplace. You can’t go beyond a particular level in consulting if you’re not chartered, so after studying for four years, you still have to hustle for your certification while someone that gets the certification in 2 years will be picked over you.
There is a shortage of accountants globally but don’t dismiss her opinion.
Scientists, let’s lean towards professional certifications in our own fields too. There are plenty of professional certifications like HSE, NEBOSH, IOSH, environmental management, laboratory quality management, biotechnology, food safety, occupational hygiene, clinical research certifications and many more.
Leave ICAN for them!!!
“Those tweets saying ICAN should only be for accounting and finance related courses graduates are condescending”
Yes!!!! We’re condescending
What you gon do about it????
Left for me, those who should be allowed to write ICAN exams should be graduates with management or social sciences degrees like Accounting, Business Admin, Banking&Finance, Economics students and the likes.
Opening up ICAN to all disciplines waters the profession down especially considering the relatively low barrier to entry (cost).
The fact that those terrorists were able to go at all is worrisome . Some people who know they were terrorists helped them register for passport and the hajj registration. They still came and flew with real people. Terrorists are pampered in many parts of Arewa and it's really sad.
Agreed. The argument isn’t solid. But the core if the argument is that if certain professions have restrictions or have a high barrier to entry, Accounting/Finance should have same.
Can ICAN restrict its exam to only people who is doing finance related courses in university? Tired of zoologist and plant scientist dragging wanting to be a chartered accountant with me. Just imagine me writing the bar exams with people who actually studied law.
Olodo uprising: it’s just bunch of bitter people who probably graduated with first class and second class upper being bittered about olodos thriving.
They believe since you’re an olodo you should remain a failure for life.
Whereas in the real sense, if you’re not smart and intelligent you can’t be popular and remain in limelight for years
It takes a smart person to be consistently creative. The real olodos are people who got the fame, the money, the job but wouldn’t know what to do with it.
Ycee got the fame but couldn’t manage it. He lost how to be consistent and to be creative with it so he fell off the radar.
That right there is an example of being an olodo.
Bruuh, you get. 😂😂💔 I am saying it again, there is nothing intellectual about IShowSpeed either.
The only sin Peller committed is being a young Nigerian without much formal education who is doing better than a lot of older, educated clowns.
Even the Peller they keep crying about, his biggest supporters are not even Nigerians.
"Olodo uprising." Una. 😂💔
@Cleverlydey4u Peller is olodo but dem basket mouth , bovi and other legend comedians get sense , Peller is even a streamer and bro is trying his best to feed his mouth yall hating for nothing
Ycee has been on podcasts for the past few weeks now and nobody has really cared bout him till he mentioned Peller , what does that tells you? Bro is just a clout chaser. Cos how would you name drop someone who has done nothing wrong to you?
“Peller is a proper entertainer, and that is a good value, Ycee is a big mumu for referring to Peller as an olodo culture, completely wrong”
— Jj Exclusive
In my opinion.. Ycee is just frustrated. Being an entertainer has no specific manual to go by. When your "TOO MUCH JUICE, TOO MUCH SAUCE" was popping.. there were people who found it, NOT ENTERTAINING OR EDUCATING. I have played my favorite Asake song in the car, and my mum called it trash.. DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS. And I don't think Nigeria entertainers even go hard enough.. go to the states and see what YouTubers are doing in the name of entertainment.. and they have millions of people looking forward to their next content. So it is not even a Nigeria thing. The truth is that people will rather try to laugh than learn something new. People are going through the unthinkable.. so you can't blame them for wanting a little fun.. PELLER IS AN ENTERTAINER!!! you can either like his style or movee.. all this tears is because you are no longer relevant.
