It's another #Pride month, but things are different. Times are changing and not for the better for the LGBTQ+ community. My cautionary blog for Pride. 🏳️🌈

There’s nothing better on a rainy day than a comfy chair and a book. My new book, “Sailing Beyond the Sunset” is available and out. If I were doing standup, there would be a self-deprecating joke there. 10 short stories. None with rain. https://t.co/qqPyes03K2
Got played for a pretentious fool at the worst value fancy bar in NYC. Ordered a Manhattan at the Red Room Bar at Printemps. Expected it to not be cheap but it was $68! $68 for a drink! In shock. Bartender suggested Michters 10 year rye. I said yes. A life lesson at age 68.
My mom passed 30 years ago, so Mother’s Day is not that significant any more, but I am thinking of her and this was always my favorite picture of her. She was probably around 50 when this was taken in the early 1960s.
I will be at The 2026 New York Rainbow Book Fair at the LGBT Community Center, 208 W. 13th Street, from 12-6 p.m. this Saturday, May 9th. Stop by my table and check out my new book, “Sailing Beyond the Sunset.”

Come by my table and I will sign a book – hopefully – one that I wrote! Both "Tales of the Lavender Twilight" and my new book, "Sailing Beyond the Sunset," will be available for purchase. Hope to see you there!
There”s a reason I save my programs. I was at this concert 50 years ago at #Carnegie Hall. Still remember how exciting the Leonore Overture was with Bernstein jumping all over the podium & the glory of Horowitz as an ensemble player. Going to the 50th anniversary concert tonight!
@DavidCruzNJ@MyNJPBS@NJSpotlightNews Sad. It’s all sad. I remembering going down to NJN in Trenton Then there was NJ TV and then NJ PBS. Democracy does not die in the darkness; there is plenty of illumination, just no one is paying attention.
I can’t stop thinking that the first thing I read on my phone when I turned it back on after seeing this opera last night was the shooting at the Press Corp dinner in DC. Modern opera can challenge us as can all art forms. It is relevant. It is needed.
And the probing question left unanswered at the end of “Innocence” should challenge us all. How do we move on after inexplicable violence? How do we let go of what we lost? After lost innocence should come wisdom.
The trailer for my second book, "Sailing Beyond the Sunset," is officially out. The book will be available in print on May 5th.

It's hard to wrap my head around J.D. Vance lecturing Pope Leo on theology. Theology is kinda the pope's job. As a Catholic holding the 2nd-highest elected office in the US, telling the president that personally attacking the pope while depicting himself as Jesus is both wrong and morally offensive is Vance's job.

President Trump's posting an image of himself as Jesus is just not right on so many levels. For starters, how about the First Commandment? My latest blog: https://t.co/Yso5HP7fjZ
On, President Trump’s Jesus post: It is not normative for anyone to depict themselves as Jesus unless they can prove their mother was named Mary and born without original sin.

TSA pre-check worth every penny. Arrived at the airport in New Orleans almost 5 hours early. Just had added the TSA pre-check to Clear. It maybe took 7 minutes from the walkthrough at the checkpoint to reunification with my belt past the physical check. Seamless. And a huge shoutout to the Delta folks here. They have elevated cheerful to a new level. It could also be that New Orleans has worked its magic on my NYC stress.
