In the past week, we had our 2nd presencial meeting, this time in Bodø, Norway!

We discussed our results and the next steps towards the end of the project! We also visited the facilities of Nord University.

This time, the drainwater provided by Hubel was used to grow Koliella antarctica in raceway ponds and flat panels 😊

Today is World Water Day!💧

To decrease water demand and reuse wastewater, we are using drainwater from hydroponics as a nutrient source for microalgae production.

Starting the week with a Koliella antarctica inoculation! 👩‍🔬
We are preparing an outdoor experiment with this strain, comparing their growth in drainwater in flat panels vs raceway ponds.

Yesterday, we had our 1st presencial meeting! It was nice to meet everyone after a long time.

We discussed the results of our fish trial and the next steps! We ended the meeting visiting Hubel Verde!

With the end of our experiment, we're busy analyzing the collected samples at Nord University! We are analyzing biochemical composition of the fish to understand the impact of the feeds. We also collected samples for cell work!

We finished our fish trial at @Norduniversitet!🐟

Salmon were fed for 9 weeks with 3 feeds, 2 of them with 10% inclusion of microalgae.

We will be analyzing the samples to evaluate the effect of the feeds in the fish.👩‍🔬

🐟 T minus 2 weeks to finish our trial! 🐟

Our salmons are growing well with the three feeds we are testing, 2 of them with 10% inclusion of disrupted Scenedesmus and K. antarctica.

We are excited to find out the results! 👩‍🔬
