Quelques photos de lundi #22fevrier2021 à Alger.
Une journée chargée d'émotions, de détermination, de contradictions, de politique, de pacifisme et quelques interpellations. La suite sera dure...
The #Algeria-n #Hirak is back today on the 2nd anniversary of the 22nd February 2019 protest.
After a year of postponement because of COVID-19 and harsh repression on the people as hundreds of activists have been in prison, the movement is stronger than ever !

22/02:
Après presque 01 année de gel à cause de la pandémie:
Le Hirak populaire a réussit son grand retour face à un régime très malade.
Une sévère gifle à ceux qui ont crus que la révolution pacifique est finie.

This is simply ignoring the 2019 #Hirak revolution that led millions of #Algeria-ns to the streets for 1 year of weekly protests. We pay another tribute to those Algerians fighting to this day for a second, and realistic, independence of the country

We came back to day to say that November 1st marks the 66th anniversary of the #Algeria-n revolution against the French colonisation. This is our history. We must pay tribute and gratitude to those who fought for the independence of the country

However, and in another attempt to ligitimize their government, #Algeria-n president #Tebboune organized today a referendum to change the constitution, making it in his and the military's favor

Today has been a harsh day in #Algeria to the point that we are wondering on the impact of what has the Algerian #Hirak of February 22, 2019 had brought to the political scene
@khaleddrareni has been condemned to 3 years of prison for covering the peaceful protests
As #Algeria-ns our fight for social justice is knowing a drop manipulated by the current regime through the COVID-19 pandemic which effects are a threat, today and more than ever, to the continuum of our peaceful organizing for social justice, democracy and dignity
Citizens of Africa, let us stand together as ONE. ✊🏽 We are asking you to stand in solidarity with us, Zimbabweans, at this moment even as we pledge to stand in solidarity with you in your hour of need.

We have been away for quite some time because it was harsh to see a lot of #Hirak activists being arrested as we aim to understand in-depth the political scene in #Algeria during the Covid-19 pandemic
#AlgeriaWakesUp
If neo colonialism attempts today to deepen the socio-cultural and economic crisis, Algerians continue the fight for democracy and social justice and the #Hirak uprising will never die
