هذي وحدة من الدراسات اللي تكلمت عن هذا الموضوع بطريقة رائعة حتى لو كانت الحالة فك كامل وليس زرعة واحدة فقط:

A comprehensive hierarchy of minimum vertical restorative space requirements for different dental implant prostheses.

Key Vertical Space Requirements:
Fixed: screw-retained (implant-level): 4-5mm.
Fixed: screw-retained (abutment-level): 7.5mm.
Fixed: cement-retained: 7-8mm.
Unsplinted overdentures: 7mm.
Bar overdentures: 11mm.
Screw-retained hybrid prostheses: 15mm.

Treatment Planning Considerations:
They emphasize planning prostheses "down from the occlusal plane and not up from the osseous crest". Restorative space must be evaluated in both vertical and horizontal dimensions, accounting for ridge resorption patterns where the maxilla typically resorbs apically and palatally, while the mandible resorbs apically and buccally.

Practical Applications:
Understanding these hierarchical space requirements enables proper case selection, appropriate prosthesis design, and enhanced patient satisfaction while minimizing prosthetic complications. The authors recommend using these guidelines as mandatory components of treatment planning to ensure optimal outcomes.
