Re-establishing teacher-led learning is a step in the right direction, but we must move forward carefully when taking about "grading". Even with "flexibility" learning in this new reality is very different than the curriculum based classroom experience. @ETFOeducators#ETFO

I forgot it was Friday the 13th. The last day before March Break. The eve of a 3 week COVID-19 shut down. #ETFO educators are heading into classes of children who are afraid, confused & angry. Kids who will miss the stability & safety schools provide them. Thanks for all you do.
Algoma ETFO has received notice from the Ontario Ministry of Education that all Ontario schools will remain closed for two weeks following the March break. All Ontario schools will be closed from March 14 until April 5, 2020.

Minister, what’s “unfair to parents” is the fact that you asked for their input, ignored their input for months, refused to release the input they provided, and spent $7.6 million of tax payers money pushing your own political agenda. @ETFOeducators#onted#onpoli
Unfortunately, classroom violence is all too common an occurrence. I am proud to stand with my ETFO colleagues in fighting to make this government address this issue. #ETFOstrong
MEDIA RELEASE: In a pre-budget presentation today, #ETFO 1st VP Karen Campbell stated that "It is time for the government to look at the revenue side of its budget and reverse the damaging cuts to public education." https://t.co/q6tzIjGHJR #onted#onpoli
In Burlington to thank teachers & education workers for standing up for public education!
Parents & students have been clear:
🚫No to Ford's increased class sizes
🚫No to his Alabama-style forced e-learning
🚫No to Ford’s plan to cut thousands of teachers & education workers
A recent study in Michigan revealed Grade 9 and 10 students had the lowest pass rates in online courses.
Imposing mandatory e-learning is wrong. Why is the government not listening to the research? #onted#onpoli#elearning https://t.co/B50fZYjNrf
Do you remember when @Sflecce said he was on ‘team parent’? It is becoming quite clear that unbeknownst to him, parents have formed a whole new team with teachers & education workers - ‘team public education’. LOVE this solidarity & support. #ETFOstrike#ETFOstrong#ETFO
On behalf of the ETFO Provincial Executive, the @etfopresident has an important message for all 83,000 public elementary teachers and education professionals who make our schools world-renowned.
Thank you for all that you do every single day! #ETFOstrong#onted
It has been an incredible year of collective resistance as educators and parents have taken action to defend learning and working conditions in our schools. Thank you all for speaking up and for being a champion for children!
Proudly we will continue #RedforEd#ETFOstrong
