$algo project idea. Decentralized marketplace where smart contract subscription #NFTs would be minted and traded. This could be utilized by content creators to have tiered levels of support, capped by a specific number.
Paid fudders will have to be more inventive to find things to talk shit about $ALGO in 2024.
#Algorand is becoming untouchable on any point.
✅ Scalability: Algorand can already handle over +10,000 TPS easily, regardless of the transaction type, and with instant transaction finality (no « optimistic finality » or other bullshit things where the risk of transaction reversal is real, creating uncertainty that institutions or any other serious businesses don't want).
Moreover, with the introduction of dynamic lambda, the block time will be considerably reduced even further (currently only 3.3 seconds).
+ Algorand absolutely doesn’t need to use sharding (which adds uncertainty + security risks + problems with data integrity/availability, etc) to scale.
✅ Inclusivity: Whether in terms of transaction cost with a fixed fees of 0.001A/tx (thanks, never any wild increase in gas fees) regardless of its type (one transaction equals one transaction on Algorand), or in terms of participation in consensus, thanks to PPoS and VRF allowing anyone to participate and have a chance to be selected to propose a block, without the need for expensive hardware!
✅ Security/Reliability: Those who have studied closely know how marvelous PPoS is, and that it's by far the best (and most elegant) consensus mechanism, offering the optimal security/performance ratio. It's impossible to know in advance who to attack for a malicious actor.
Not to mention that Algorand is already 1/3 of the way towards total quantum resistance thanks to Falcon Keys. Which other blockchain/DLT can say the same?
$ALGO is also a model of reliability with ZERO downtimes since its launch in 2019, not a f*cking single small second of unavailability, all while processing more than one billion transactions, sometimes more than $ETH and $MATIC combined… I’m also not talking about the fact that mathematically a soft-fork on Algorand is absolutely improbable, so there is no risk that your assets (ex: NFTs) will be duplicated on another blockchain.
Sincerely, good luck finding such a reliable blockchain.
✅ Decentralization: It might have been the only weak/criticizable point of Algorand until now, even though decentralization is already quite robust (with over 1000 participation nodes) for such a young network. But in 2024 decentralization on Algorand will take a major turn.
Many people with a bad understanding of how Algorand works used to focus on and criticize the lack of decentralization due to its permissioned relay nodes (it’s partially wrong), and they often overlooked the fact that relay nodes don't participate in consensus - relay nodes only optimize data propagation.
Nevertheless, in 2024 the use of these relay nodes will become completely optional!
Algorand will transition to a P2P gossip network where users can literally choose to use only the participation nodes (which will be able to communicate with each other) and without any impact on network’s performance!
This flexibility of choice for users (using relay nodes for more performance or participating nodes for more decentralization, etc.) will make Algorand the most decentralized blockchain EVER!
+ as mentioned earlier, anyone can run a participating node without expensive hardware, and with solutions like 'one-click nodes' such as AlgoRun, it has never been easier to do it.
Additionally, Algorand's governance is increasing its decentralization, notably through xGov (still in experimental phase), which will eventually empower the community with full control.
✅ Consensus incentivization: It was often an argument made by people outside the ecosystem that being a validator on Algorand was not profitable. Personally I’m a big fan of Silvio Micali's initial philosophy which said that the security of a network should never depend on its profitability and that it was in everyone's interest to secure the network (companies that run a business on it, etc.).
Especially since participating in ALGO’s consensus is not really expensive! However, it's not free either… So, I find it great that @AlgoFoundation is considering the idea (TBD) of incentivizing participation in consensus.
This will certainly attract many new validators + boost a lot the decentralization of Algorand.
✅ Tokenomics: Many people still think that Algorand's tokenomics are bad... but that's not true.
The situation is completely different from 2021 when only 50% of the supply was in circulation: today, more than 80% of the supply is already in circulation, resulting in a low annual supply inflation of only 2.8% until 2030, year where all ALGO will be released!
✅ Ease of development: Many people said that developing with the TEAL programming language on Algorand adds additional complexity and discourages many developers.
AlgoKit, launched in 2023, has been a game changer and a huge work has been done by the foundation to significantly improve the devs experience (something similar to Web2). Full-stack TypeScript development (via TEALscript) is already supported, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Algorand will now natively support Python, the world's most popular programming language, with the official release of AlgoKit 2.0 next February.
Any developer will be able to deploy smart contracts and build his project on Algorand directly in Python. This is the biggest game changer of the year ! 💯
✅ Team: What I personally really appreciate about the team behind Algorand tech/foundation is their consensual academic approach, no bullshit things, nothing is rushed. And how rare it is today!
Profiles like Gary or John are the best example, how lucky for Algorand to have them.
But nothing surprising when we know that Algorand was designed and founded by one of the greatest cryptographers in the world? without his fundamental work cryptos would probably not exist.

✅ Adoption: Never has the adoption of Algorand been so important, from partnerships with the United Nations, to a solid presence in India (the leading country in terms of crypto adoption), to being the official blockchain of FIFA, to on-chain support for the first digital EURO (EMT) validated by a central bank in Europe, with the Bank of Italy currently developing huge solutions on Algorand, including one actively studied by the ECB (TIPS solution). There are already hundreds of RWA projects on $ALGO having a real impact on the world, with millions of people, for example, using Algorand for take a plane, bill payments, receive help, investments... + its thriving ecosystem.
Algorand is everywhere and in every field! And keep in mind that in 2021, not so long ago, Algorand’s adoption was insignificant, so imagine another 2-3 years from now...
I won't even mention the usual points, such as Algorand being carbon negative, the huge utility of the ALGO token with demand expected to explode in the future due to companies needing it to operate their businesses (ex: opt-in ASA/NFT mints), and all the awesome and unique features that Algorand offers.
Good luck paid fudders ! 👋
Super disappointed with Algofi... yea, platform was great and worked well. But if they don't want to be here anymore, good riddance. It's just a protocol after all, we've still got Folks which works flawlessly too, and more protocols will come, as well as crosschain opportunities
