For a moment, let’s assume the rescue operation had gone differently and all the kidnapped victims had been killed. Would you still hold the same opinion? Would the criticism still be this loud?

If you look closely at the reactions to this news, the hypocrisy is difficult to ignore. ONLY ONE REGION IS UNHAPPY ABOUT IT! A successful rescue operation should be something we can all be grateful for, regardless of our region, ethnicity, religion, or political differences. These were human beings who were kidnapped, terrified, and uncertain whether they would ever return home alive.

Until someone close to you is kidnapped, it may be difficult to fully understand the fear, trauma, and helplessness that come with such an experience. Imagine waiting every day, not knowing whether your loved one is alive or dead. Then imagine them finally being rescued, only for people to turn the entire situation into another regional or political argument.

We can question the authorities, demand transparency, and ask legitimate questions about the operation, but we should never lose sight of the most important thing: lives were saved and families got their loved ones back.

May we never become victims of kidnapping, and may we never have to experience the pain of having someone close to us taken away. May God protect us all.
