Nigel Farage's media appearances from 2018/9 with right-wing nutcases are now being exhumed as if they're dead-sea scrolls.
It's a bit weird for those of us who followed this in minute detail real time but better late than never etc

The most impressive witness at the DCMS select committee is the guy sitting behind the witnesses with the jacket, waistcoat, shirt and vest. Seriously impressive nodding. For the rest of it, like a really badly planned management away day.
After the latest controversy about Farage at Dulwich College - based on my C4News report in 2013 & biography in 2022 - it will be interesting to see if Farage now attends old boys' events with his previous dedication. Perhaps old boys could keep me posted & DM me.
First the Nathan Gill Russian bribery scandal, now this.
Nigel Farage is finally getting scrutiny for his past, and just like his idol Donald Trump he doesn't like it.
The potted CV of Robbie Gibb that #BBCNews has put up on a split screen makes no mention of his involvement with the Jewish Chronicle, a paper that has lost several defamation cases and breached the press standards code numerous times.
The Instigators of the BBC Coup, which cost Tim Davie his job, seem surprised by the consequence of their actions, the reaction of the press almost seems to have surprised them... come off it... anyway... we're in foothills here...
"Not remotely."
Liberal Democrat MP Layla Moran tells #Newsnight that she is not reassured by Sir Robbie Gibb's comment on "impartiality through [his] bones."
“So far, I regret to say… the honest truth is I don’t think she’s up to it.”
“Two catastrophic things she’s done: made the wrong taxation choice in the Budget and made no attempt to cut public spending.”
Lord Ken Clarke on Rachel Reeves.
@lewis_goodall
‘No intention of resigning’
Then the the public who pay the BBC honcho responsible for ‘impartiality’, having been an early founder of GB News, owner of the Jewish Chronicle when its standards evaporated, should make sure he’s sacked. What a rip off
MAGA accounts exposed as foreign actors is a hugely important story. I wrote about its consequences already in "Road to Unfreedom" and we know much more now. If we want to be a democracy we have to create structures of factuality rather than selling our future to the loudest yeller in another country.
@JMPSimor They all behaved and were not really hard on him. He stated that he has nothing to apologise for.
He kept on answering by referring to 25y career at BBC. No self awareness of damage he is doing to BBC by being the story that keeps them in the news.
How can Theresa May’s former press secretary, arch Brexiteer and purchaser of the Jewish Chronicle say he has “impartiality through his bones”? Not seen whether the Committee members laughed out loud. Did they?
If there was no coup at the BBC why did Tim Davie go? Who leaked to the Telegraph? Who alerted Boris Johnson to join in? And who woke the White House with a suggestion they might sue? Who planned and who knew? The Editors know. Two of them at least.
FWIW, I do know Robbie Gibb, having met him almost 30 years ago when he was working for the Tories & always quite liked him. But the claim by this self-identifying “Thatcherite” to be a completely impartial BBC arbiter is as ludicrous as me claiming I’m not partial towards Labour
