@Sheridanblog He may the worst big man screener I've ever seen. He's like a feather out there, getting pushed around easily. Crazy that Curry is an infinitely better screener than him while being half his size.
Technically, no. Defense determines how efficiently the opponent scores. Rebounding determines who gets the next possession, and it happens on both ends of the floor. Yes, it's all connected, but they're not the same thing. So were guys like Tony Allen and Bruce Bowen not all time great defenders because they weren't great rebounders?
@damanr Yes! I feel like Wemby's willingness to try and to care and to take leadership really shines a light on Jokic's personality flaws who comes across like an immature kid who's to cool to give a damn.
@olddirty_baroo If Gui keeps raising his confidence, he can get scary good. Podz is feeling like another Kuminga- too much immaturity and arrogance. If you watch tapes of last year, he was much more contained and effective. Now he's trying to play like a number 1 option and that's just not him.
@Sheridanblog That closing lineup really highlighted how immature Podz and Moody are as basketball players. Team was gelling, making smart plays, being patient, just mature intelligent basketball. Was refreshing to watch.
@Ayyykay_ Who cares? You'll get 3 high percentage guaranteed shots at titles if you go all in. Your other choice is hoping for an effective rebuild with your picks. It's an easy choice.
@EastBayWarriors I mean, it's kinda true on one level. Even though there's been a lot of it consistency, the roster is filled with guys that will shoot and hit 3's. They did recently break the record for consecutive games with 10 or more players hitting a 3 in a game.
@Sheridanblog The difference between Podz/Buddy and Melton/Richard is so stark it's insane. It's like 2 clowns who sometimes do good things for us versus 2 killers that just feel super solid to have out there.
@TheNBACentel@ChrisBHayne Ha! Now I know Centel is a Warriors fan. Only a fan who's been closely tracking the Warriors the last couple of years would truly understand just how painful of a post this is.
@TheBBallSage "But Podz is showing so much confidence and initiative though, right?" I can hear Kerr's inner dialogue justifying to himself why he still thinks Podz has the potential to be the MVP of the league some day.
@785Warriors@Sheridanblog You must have not heard the way Kerr talks about him. He treats him like he's an All Star type player who has the potential to be a future MVP. It's insane.
He really can't just let go of the illusion that the Steph/Dray run lineups with Dray at the 5 just don't work anymore. The fact that that Melton/Richard/Horford 2nd unit team still looks just as good without Jimmy says a lot. It's honestly a mental illness to be playing these small lineups with Dray at the 5 at this point.
@jrichardgoodman The difference was Kerr delivered his statements with a sense of resignation, that they just have to accept they're not as good as those teams and just have to get lucky. Jimmy is saying it with an energy of not being happy with it because they know they're better than that.
@OBTracksz@st4fa_@Chris_Broussard In a blowout game with his lowest minutes and shot total of the season and still had 11 assists and basically gets all of his teammates wide open shots when he's on the floor consistently because of his gravity.
