10/10 - ๐จ๐ฎ Yan Diomande is the only player this century to do the following across his first three FIFA World Cup games:
Complete 10+ dribbles
Create 10+ chances
Rising.
- Be the worst ranked team in the tournament
- Score a goal from a corner that was after a blatant foul
- Lose to a vastly superior team
- Blame that same ref that gave you a corner you shouldn't have had
Losers, every one of you
@theoldzealand I'm disappointed man. I wait for these recaps, I was hoping for a good one after our first-ever World Cup win and you go and say "but but the ref" who was a total non-factor today
Hopefully Zealandism is gonna have a good recap
@BBCMOTD Looking at the ball the entire time, Trossard was shielding it, he happened to take a step on his foot, happens 10 times every game, what on earth are you saying
@sliceinterlude@Bd_irB_ll They know

None if them are innocent.
You're trusting The Telegraph?
@TeleFootball@SamJDean I think the biggest insult I can give you guys is zionists. You are all zionists. This is the lowest of the low, and you can never be proud of yourself until you die.
โThe baby could arrive before the end of the tournament,โ said Belgium winger Jeremy Doku. โI would like to be there.
"No father would want to miss that. I know that the federation is aware and we will see what we can do.โ
This did not seem controversial. And yet, over the days that followed, those three sentences sparked a backlash against the 24-year-old.
The baby, yes, would be waiting for Doku on his return. That is both true and beside the point.
The birth of a child โ particularly your first child โ is a life-changing event. There is no substitute for being in the room.
You are not there wholly for the baby, even if those early moments of bonding are important. You are, in part, there for yourself. More than anything, though, you are there for the person giving birth.
Make no mistake: sport is a wonderful thing. It delights and diverts. It can seem incredibly important. It is also, for those who play it, a job. It wonโt love you back. It wonโt look after you when youโre old.
If Jeremy Doku wants to be there, that should be the end of it, writes @jacklang

4 years ago, I was there to see Eloy Room literally drop the ball into his net playing for Columbus Crew against Philadelphia Union.
Today, he makes 15 saves (!!!) for Curaรงao, single-handedly earning them a first-ever World Cup point.
One of my favorite World Cup moments ever.
