Let me be absolutely clear: there are definitely NFL fans out there who say the World Cup isn’t as big but they don’t count because they’re either trolling, stupid or aggressively both.
As a fan of both sports, I know the only people putting the Super Bowl “in the same conversation” with the World Cup are these weirdly insecure football fans.
These are exactly the same knobheads who’ll endlessly debate a club or league’s size, like that’s ever mattered. Sadly there are hundreds of thousands of these guys.
Fantastic news that Steve Clarke has stepped down. Don't need to pay him that ludicrous contract and we get a new manager who should make something of a good squad. So long, Steve.
At this point, the BBC commentators are basically saying aloud that we as Europeans cannot learn anything about other cultures and how they do football. We apparently have it absolutely perfect and it's wrong to be done any other way.
Truly obnoxious.
Completely done with it now. Streaming the rest of the half on the Bet365 app where there are no commentators at all.
Pearce and Keown are utterly diabolical.
The BBC and ITV are in an extremely tight race for most aggressively miserable commentators.
Shut. Up. About. The. Hydration. Breaks.
You simply have to get over it.
Do I agree with the breaks? No, not really. Do I see what they're for? Yes, of course. Do they "ruin the sport I once loved"? Absolutely not.
Stop being so melodramatic.
"It doesn't matter what temperature it is, we are absolutely delighted to be apart of it" 🤝
