Try something weird! We've been sold out of this crazy, immersive audio experience at Hollywood Fringe, but after a Best of Immersive Theater Award, we've been extended! LA Times top 10 recommended show, and a Pick of the Fringe. Also it's weird. https://t.co/fKxsJToODo
In honor of #Juneteenth here is a paper talisman written by enslaved African Muslims in early America.
These paper talismans were used for protection and to organize resistance. They also highlight the high levels of literacy.
I was fortunate enough to get a private screening of the film, Killers of the Flower Moon earlier this month. Having been marginally released from my NDA with the premiere of the film today at Cannes, I have a few thoughts.
Applications for the 2024 Pillars Artist Fellowship are now open! Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity if you are a Muslim director or screenwriter living in the U.S. or U.K.

I’m so proud of year 1 of the Pillars Artist Fellowship, and proud to be part of these filmmakers journeys. Ten Muslim directors and screenwriters with incredible talent. Thank you to all of them, to our mentors, speakers, & sponsors this year - and a massive thanks to the team.
@AnnaJKlassen Mine was Ghandi. At a theater that only seemed to show Gandhi for what I'm pretty sure was close to a decade. I remember there was smoking. And glass bottled sodas. I'm 99.9% certain this wasn't a fever dream but just the 80s.
