I have just spoken with Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian.

I called on him to put an immediate end to the unacceptable attacks Iran is carrying out against countries in the region, whether directly or through proxies, including in Lebanon and Iraq. I reminded him that France is acting within a strictly defensive framework aimed at protecting its interests, its regional partners, and freedom of navigation, and that it is unacceptable for our country to be targeted.

Democracy face another slaughter under the watch of ECWAS chair of states authority in Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 who doubles as President of Sierra Leone.
The detention of Lansana Dumbuya, National Secretary General of the All Peoples Congress APC is very alarming and sends a loud signal that Mada Bio is starting to use tactics of intimidations with the aid of state captured institutions like the Sierra Leone Police and PPRC to again rig the2028 elections as he did in 2023.
It is very petty to detain a Sectary General of the main opposition party just for chanting slogans of Mada Bio stole elections in 2023. What else can be said than this. The common man does not understand what is rigging of elections.
Therefore, in a political meeting of grassroots supporters, one is expected to talk in a language they understand.
More over, the APC is starting their ward elections on 7/2/2026. Detaining a key figure in the process is a deterrent to democracy.
