Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD), the Logo Lake Resort—developed as part of the Dine for Generations initiative—has been officially inaugurated and opened for service. This is not merely the opening of a destination; it is the unveiling of a promise—one rooted in peace, unity, and belief in the potential of the Ethiopian people.

Wollo has always been a crossroads: of cultures, of commerce, of ideas, and of faith. The Logo Lake Resort rises from this sacred ground as a symbol of unity, love, and harmony—an additional beacon of tourism and development for the people of Wollo and for Ethiopia as a whole.

The resort reflects Ethiopia’s vast and untapped tourism wealth—not only the beauty of its landscapes, but the depth of its history and the strength of its social fabric. It stands ready to present to the world an Ethiopia that is confident, welcoming, and deeply rooted in its values.

By creating meaningful employment opportunities for local youth and stimulating business and service activities, the resort will generate momentum for national economic growth. It will also serve as a vital transit and connection corridor, linking domestic and international visitors to the region’s natural wonders and historical landmarks.

Today, the Logo Hayk Resort has been officially inaugurated, seamlessly embracing the natural beauty of Wollo with modern, world-class infrastructure. Beyond its physical presence, the resort is designed as a catalyst for both local and national economic transformation. As the second Dine project in the Amhara region, following Gorgora, it will generate direct and indirect employment, stimulate value chains across agriculture, transport, hospitality, and services, and create new market opportunities for local producers, artisans, and entrepreneurs. In doing so, Logo Hayk Resort strengthens tourism-led growth while anchoring sustainable livelihoods for surrounding communities.

Guided by the spirit of Medemer, this initiative brings government and the private sector to the same table, translating policy into action and investment into tangible impact. By developing the resort through a collaborative model, we have laid a durable foundation for public-private partnership, policy continuity, and long-term growth.

Digital Ethiopia 2025 has been completed after achieving its intended goals to an almost full extent. As of today, we have officially launched Digital Ethiopia 2030. Expanding accessibility, creating equal opportunities for citizens, and strengthening trust between citizens and institutions are among the key foundational pillars of the strategy. To ensure these pillars are realized, significant efforts will be made, particularly in expanding public digital infrastructure. This will create strong capacity for digital technology, with a people-centered approach, to improve the lives of citizens. Overall, the initiatives being implemented under Digital Ethiopia are aligned with the goals of the Medemer State to realize major strategies through streamlined bureaucracy.

Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Prime Minister @GiorgiaMeloni at Palazzo Chigi in Rome. Our discussion focused on strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing multilateral cooperation, and exploring new opportunities for investment and economic partnership between Ethiopia and Italy.

We reaffirmed our shared commitment to deepening collaboration across sectors, guided by mutual respect and the longstanding friendship between our two nations.

It is one of among other testimonies towards government service enhancement goals , that we all are striving to realize it at all level.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, along with senior federal and regional leadership, toured and inaugurated the Mesob One-Stop Service Center.

The One-Stop Service Center brings together various government services under one roof, utilizing advanced digital technologies. It enables citizens to easily access the services of multiple federal institutions through a fully digital system, eliminating the need to visit multiple offices, endure long queues, or handle cumbersome paper-based processes.

Twelve federal government agencies have joined the pilot project, which has now commenced operations, providing a total of 41 public services. These services range from licensing to digital ID registration and beyond, all delivered in a single, convenient location.

The participating institutions are:
1. National ID Ethiopia
2. Immigration and Citizenship Service
3. Document Authentication and Registration Service
4. Ministry of Revenue
5. Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration
6. Ministry of Labour and Skills
7. Ethiopian Investment Commission
8. Ministry of Foreign Affairs
9. Educational Assessment and Examination Service
10. Ethio Post
11. Commercial Bank of Ethiopia
12. Ethio Telecom

Additionally, all these institutions are providing integrated digital connectivity services to ensure seamless service delivery.

Addressing the areas that cause frustration for our citizens in service administration is a priority for us. Today, we inaugurated the Mesob One-Stop Service Center as part of this commitment.

There are three critical elements that define this new center: the transformation of an old, dilapidated building into a modern and aesthetically pleasing environment; the integration of a locally developed software system to streamline services; and the preparation of young professionals to deliver dignified and efficient service with a renewed attitude. Twelve institutions have begun offering 40 different services under one roof, enabling citizens to save time and access services more efficiently.

Developing systems like this addresses many of the frustrations our citizens face and, over time, will contribute to greater public satisfaction. Today marks a significant step, and Ethiopia will continue to expand on this pilot to ensure better service delivery for all our citizens.

Our discussions have been engaging and in-depth, reflecting a shared commitment to mutual growth and cooperation. These deliberations have paved the way for strengthened political, diplomatic, and economic ties between our two countries.

In our bilateral talks with President @EmmanuelMacron Macron at the National Palace, we addressed a range of bilateral and multilateral issues. I expressed my appreciation for his and the French government’s support in the renovation of the National Palace and the ongoing restoration of rock hewn churches of Lalibela. During our discussions, we explored potential collaborations in various fields, including increasing French investments, as well as strengthening ties in education and culture. I also emphasized the importance of building on our longstanding historical relations.

"Startup Ethiopia" aims to cultivate an environment conducive to youth entrepreneurship, fostering innovative problem-solving businesses. Recognizing the youth as the nation's engines brimming with innovative ideas, policy support for the ecosystem is vital to translate these ideas into reality. Despite current challenges, numerous initiatives over the past five years have been actively addressing these hurdles, paving the way for abundant opportunities.
