Commentary on the morning commute:
1) people who eat bananas in a confined space are a breed of their own
2) shout out to the couple talking in detail about their relationship - everyone is listening
3) someone needs to check on the man in his 30s drinking redbull pre-8am
Very excited to be on the way to the @CIOFtweets#CIOFFC at the amazing @BarbicanCentre for the day! Hoping to see lots of familiar faces, many in person for the first time 🥳
(First commute from Letchworth in a long while - feels nicely familiar ❤️)
Moving day is officially here 🥳
Over 6.5years in London; 3 homes, flat mates, best mates, wedding, covid...it's been a lot! Time now to move into our (almost complete) renovation project ❤️
P.s to anyone at #CIoF convention tomorrow - I apologise for how exhausted I will look!
Our NHS Fundraising cohort is live🥳
This morning, 26 learners from various NHS charities joined the @CorndelTraining Diploma in Fundraising and take the next steps in their fundraising career!
A huge thank you to @NHSCharities for helping us to widen access to the programme 💜
#SmallCharityWeek
I'm honoured to join @Tech_She_Can on their interview panel today to find their first Head of Fundraising❤️
It has been a pleasure getting to know them over the last few months & talk about all things fundraising, and exciting to be part of this next step!
Let's celebrate #SmallCharityWeek 🥳
I love being able to help widen access to apprenticeships, especially for small charities ❤️
By partnering with organisations such as @bh_cw, we are enrolling 40 third sector senior leaders, fully-funded, on a Level 7 apprenticeship!
A busy week of charity apprenticeship launches, fast approaching end of Q2 & forecasting, supporting a small charity with Head of Fundraising interviews, and mentoring sessions, all whilst in the final throws of a MAJOR house renovation project....send caffeine (or wine)
Earlier this week, we hosted the first Charity Learning Leaders networking event 🎉
We welcomed L&D professionals from an array of amazing charities, and I couldn't be proud of my team for building us to a place where this is possible ❤️
#charity#apprenticeships
As I approach a year in the world of apprenticeships supporting the third sector, I wanted to take note of some of the key things I have learnt this year...

Booking in your haircut so you look super fancy to start a week of much anticipated annual leave is all fun & games until the to-do list mounts up and the clock is ticking…
@CarolineSMay @cecilia_joy_x Was just going to suggest this type of one!
My sister has the same thing and it is great to use, then put in her bag when she wanted to
@Pollysymondson Potentially...though hate to think it was that bad?? Either way, would always prefer the feedback rather than the silence.
And since, as a hiring manager, I have not used that recruiter due to that experience.
@Pollysymondson I've had this previously from a recruitment agency. I was so disappointed in their approach - I recieved a voicemail but the recruiter went on leave for 2 weeks an hour later so didn't get to speak. I followed up when they were back, but still never got feedback - crazy!
"Lack of diversity is a risk to any charity" really great insights from an inspiring panel discussing how do we build more resilient trustee boards at #CTconference@CharityTimes#Trustee#fundraising
