🚨 **YOUR CRYPTO WALLET CAN BE AT RISK — EVEN IF YOU NEVER SHARE YOUR SEED PHRASE.** 👀

One permission could give a smart contract access to spend your tokens.

It's called a **TOKEN APPROVAL.**

Here's what every DeFi trader should understand 👇

🔓 **1. What is an approval?**
You authorize a smart contract to spend a specific token on your behalf.

⚠️ **2. Why can it be risky?**
An unlimited approval may allow a spender to access far more tokens than your next trade requires.

🎭 **3. How can scammers exploit it?**
A fake website may trick you into approving a malicious contract — or a legitimate protocol could later suffer an exploit.

🛡️ **4. How to reduce the risk**
• Verify the website and spender address.
• Set a limited spending amount when possible.
• Review old approvals regularly.
• Revoke permissions you no longer need.
• Never sign requests you don't understand.

🚨 **HIGH TVL DOESN’T AUTOMATICALLY MEAN A HEALTHY DeFi PROTOCOL.** 👀

A protocol can lock billions in assets and still have serious weaknesses.

TVL tells you how much value is deposited in smart contracts — but it doesn’t tell you the whole story.

Before trusting a DeFi protocol, check these 6 things:

🔹 **1. TVL quality:** Is capital organic, or driven by temporary incentives?

🔹 **2. Fees vs. revenue:** Are users actually using the protocol, and how much value does the protocol retain?

🔹 **3. Real activity:** Are users borrowing, trading or supplying assets consistently?

🔹 **4. Liquidity & withdrawals:** Can users exit without severe slippage or liquidity stress?

🔹 **5. Security:** Review audits, exploit history, bug bounties and admin permissions.

🔹 **6. Risk exposure:** Check collateral quality, oracle dependencies, leverage and bridge risks.

⚖️ **THE PROS:** High TVL can signal trust, liquidity and adoption.

⚠️ **THE CONS:** TVL alone can hide mercenary capital, weak revenue, concentrated risks or security vulnerabilities.

📌 Don’t ask only, “How much money is locked?”

Ask: **“Why is it there, what does it earn, and what could make it disappear?”**

🚨 WHAT IS SLIPPAGE IN CRYPTO?

You see a token at:

$0.0010

You click BUY.

You expect:

$1,000 → 1,000,000 tokens.

But your actual execution is worse.

Why?

SLIPPAGE.

Slippage is the difference between the price you expect and the price you actually receive.

It becomes especially important when:

→ Liquidity is low
→ Your order is large
→ Volatility is extreme
→ The pool is moving rapidly
→ You're trading newly launched tokens

Example:

Expected execution: $1,000
Actual tokens received: $940 worth

That's a serious difference.

⚠️ But there's another trap:

Setting extremely high slippage just to make a transaction go through can expose you to much worse execution.

Before trading a volatile token:

✓ Check liquidity
✓ Check price impact
✓ Check expected output
✓ Don't blindly max slippage
✓ Understand what you're signing

Fast doesn't always mean good execution.
