CBS Board of Directors held its ordinary meeting on 9–10 December 2025 and approved a package of key measures, including:
•Licensing of 3 new microfinance institutions
•Licensing of 1 new money transfer business
•Re-licensing of 11 banks and 11 MTBs
•CBS Budget for 2026
•Investment policy and strategic asset allocation framework

These decisions further strengthen Somalia’s financial sector, support inclusion, and enhance CBS’s institutional capacity.
