Host cities & govts bear costs of stadiums, infrastructure, security & logistics, while FIFA generates bn in revenue.

Not only developing nations but even many developed countries cant host alone anymore.

Despite being a non-profit organization, FIFA operates a model that increasingly limits hosting to a small group of wealthy nations

still #Pakistan is, by far, a much more open & vibrant society in terms of pol & religious freedom compared to most of the Muslim world

& Israel-Pal issue remains a major fault line within it
