Gedo regional authorities have issued a stern warning to #Egypt, stating that they will not tolerate the creation of a new conflict within Somalia.

Gedo is part of the Somali Jubbaland State, and the local authorities have declared that they will close their borders to #Egypt if it intends to deploy forces through the African Union.

"Enough is enough. Our people are tired of conflict and humanitarian crises. We do not want Egypt to use us as a pretext for a conflict with #Ethiopia," said the regional spokesman for the Gedo region.
