A high-level delegation from the Republic of Somaliland, led by Hon. Abdalle Mohamed Arab, Minister of Internal Affairs and Security, joined us in Taipei to participate in the inaugural Assembly of the World Alliance for Disaster Management (WADM) in Taipei, Taiwan.

The delegation included Mr. Mohamed Abdirahman Hassan, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC); Brigadier General Ahmed Mohamed Hassan (Sawahili), Commander of the Somaliland Fire and Rescue Service; and Mr. Sakaria Mohamed Omar, Executive Secretary to the Minister of Internal Affairs and Security.

At this historic inaugural gathering, the Republic of Somaliland became one of the founding member states of WADM, marking an important milestone in Somaliland’s growing international engagement and multilateral cooperation.

Somaliland looks forward to working closely with fellow WADM members to advance cooperation in disaster preparedness, emergency response, resilience, capacity building and the exchange of expertise, while contributing actively to the Alliance’s shared objectives.

@UN has The State of Somaliland’s official agreements of Declaration of Independence documents in it’s depositary, but @UN lets Fraudulent somalia to use those documents as it’s own and attain a sit,it is time for the government and the people of Somaliland to be heard by the @UN
