Somali referee Omar Artan thanks Kenya for supporting his career, saying he was delighted to be in the country and feels at home after working with Kenyan assistant referees over the past three to four years.

Speaking at BBS Mall in Eastleigh, Nairobi, he also wished African referees and teams success at the World Cup, saying every achievement by an African reflects positively on the entire continent and dismissed any controversy surrounding his omission at the tournament.
