The attacks against @ConceptualJames and @SovMichael increasingly resemble a coordinated online struggle session.
Figures associated with @yhazony and @NatConTalk appear determined to discredit them, particularly after James and Michael exposed troubling similarities between elements of the post-liberal movement and the ideological positions they have spent years opposing.
Most of the criticisms against James and Michael are sophomoric and slanderous. Others appear calculated and malicious.
What interests me most is how readily these figures employ the very tactics of the Left they claim to oppose. This is a form of Weltanschauungskrieg, a war of worldviews (vain psychological warfare, or propaganda) designed to manipulate public perception and construct a synthetic reality. There is a reason we now refer to this movement as the Woke Right or Dialectical Right.
We owe James and Michael a tremendous debt. I have said for years that much of the conservative response to woke ideology amounts to little more than footnotes to their scholarship. They helped frame the issues, establish the vocabulary, expose the tactics, and provide the intellectual resources necessary to confront the movement.
The irony is that after spending years exposing dialectical warfare, they are now becoming targets of those same tactics from elements of the Right.
This is precisely why I dedicated my new book, Faith in the Crossfire: When a Dialectical Revolution Targets Christianity, to James and Michael.
(I also dedicated the book to figures such as Francis Schaeffer, Norman Geisler, and Carl F. H. Henry… see the link below).
I am grateful for their scholarship and service, but even more grateful for their friendship.
I look forward to joining them at our conference in a few weeks. The behavior we are witnessing only reinforces why we must continue confronting this growing anti-liberty movement.

@Phil_Johnson_ I listened to your message on Christian Nationalism today. Thought you did a good job.👍👍
Webbon is definitely showing dangerous cult leader characteristics here.
