@BlondeHistorian The one we go to is from 12 months up to 6 years I think, we don’t go in the school holidays and don’t stay after 10 in term time because it’s just too busy and I can’t keep Bean safe. Kids run riot there & few of the parents seem mindful there’s little ones also trying to play.
@BlondeHistorian Soft play is an accessibility nightmare. There is a hole in the floor at the multistory climber at my local leisure centre. Soft play for toddlers it might be but it wasn’t an easy landing for this 30-something blind woman falling on her ass.
“Hi my name is Michael, can I help you across the road as the traffic lights are out of order?”
It’s as simple as that! ✅
There was nothing to indicate the traffic lights were out of order for anybody who’s visually impaired.
A simple act of kindness goes a long way.
@BlondeHistorian We have “bookeeeee” for reading. It’s my favourite thing. No steps yet though, he carries them in his mouth and crawls so they’re always quite damp by the time they get to you!
@BlondeHistorian We spend enough time having to justify our need for our assistance dogs when out in public. We don’t need to add further confusion into the mix. Instead of redefining the law try just enforcing it?
@AngieBeatDown We use the old version of the Tommy Tipee “perfect prep”. Does a 70 degree shot of hot water then tops it up with cooler water. The new version has a screen but the old one has a fail. Vinted. Highly recommend.
@AngieBeatDown What about using prenade formula? It’s cold and you can’t heat it up and I was told my son wouldn’t drink it but he did quite happily. You’d still have to measure how much you were giving each serving but at least you wouldn’t have to worry about bacteria.
@RachelCDailey Rachel Reeves saying they won’t reinstate the bankers bonus limit is legit making me consider not voting for them for the first time in my life. I’m in a swing seat though so I’ll probably chicken out come polling day.
@blindandb0ujee I once got a night train after a football match with my last GD. I put her in the seat next to me because it made me feel much safer. I also had a horrible cold and just wanted to cry for the entirety of the 3 hours journey. Hope your trip wasn’t too hideous.
Being able to access information around your own healthcare in an appropriate format is a human right. There is so much work to be done to address the healthcare inequalities disabled people experience.
@BlondeHistorian They stood a few feet away and called their dog when I asked them to but never actually put it on the lead so it just came right back! I honestly don’t understand what people are thinking. We weren’t even at the park! Just passing a grass verge.
Today I had to repeatedly ask a couple to put their dog
on a lead as it was running up to my #GuideDog and scaring her. I explained that I couldn’t see and felt they were being irresponsible 1\2
