🇺🇸 🇮🇷 America's air war on Iran now runs on tankers parked wingtip to wingtip in Israel and Jordan, all inside Iranian missile range...

Former Navy SEAL Matt Bracken laid out the vulnerability nobody in Washington seems to be pricing.

Fighters cannot reach Iran and return without aerial refueling, and those tankers need long concrete runways, which means the whole campaign now funnels through a handful of known airfields in southern Israel and Jordan, packed close because there is nowhere else to put them.

The wild part? Those fields are visible to every satellite and every local watching planes land.

Iran's medium range missiles can carry submunition warheads that scatter across a wide area, and it takes very little damage to disable a modern jet or pit a runway badly enough to close it.

Which means the danger is timing.

Aircraft in the air when their runways go down have to divert to Turkey or Cyprus, and those governments decide whether to refuel them for another mission.

🇸🇾🇮🇶🇱🇧 Syria says it intercepted a large weapons shipment hidden inside an oil tanker at its border with Iraq, headed for Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The tanker was declared as heavy fuel oil bound for the port of Baniyas.

A routine inspection at the al-Tanf crossing turned up long-range missiles, anti-tank missiles and around 100 fiber-optic FPV drones stashed inside.

Syria's Interior Ministry says the cache was set to transit Syrian territory before reaching Hezbollah.

The group denies it, calling the accusation baseless and saying it isn't operating in Syria.

The route matters here. With Hormuz disrupted by the war, Iraqi oil has been flowing overland to Syria's coast, and that steady stream of tankers is exactly the cover a shipment like this needs.
