@Maxmc552 I see no issue, I think they should finish up the armada original designs before touching energon original body types. Modern UT Cybertron is a bit up in the air as to whether that was started too early or is fine because of the anime sub vs dub differences.
@mechnatron84@TFHypeGuy I think it was also about trying to build fan confidence in how dedicated they are to doing these combiners in a timely manner because Menasor started back in legacy wave 1 and finished legacy evo wave 1, and Hasbro g2 Menasor started in legacy year 1 and still hasn't completed.
@mechnatron84@TFHypeGuy I think it was a multi purpose choice, start speculation about potential repaints, skybound around that time also killed off one of the superion arms.....
@Maxmc552 Very nice stuff, I generally don't like the way the armada anime designs looked, nor do I like their original toys, but the core designs I think are mostly solid cuz I like the looks of the PS2 game, dreamwave comics, and modern generations updates
@KaijuCooper I'd rather see powerlinx Optimus with his trailer than see it removed for minicons, losing the trailer is the biggest criticism I had of nemesis prime. With red alert nothing had to be sacrificed or made above 100 USD.
@TFHypeGuy@joshua1452 Well wouldn't be the first time in recent years two drastically different starscream figures shared parts, legacy Cybertron starscream has a few pieces from siege starscream
@Maxmc552 Other than the lack of wrist swivel, honestly I think it holds up pretty well, also it's a bit surprising they've used it this much given it's one of the heavier voyagers from the last decade, siege version being 165ish grams of plastic while the earthrise is 200g
@W1LDKINGLAZER I think thunderblast is the more fun one because at least she's simple and to the point, plus the shell aspect kinda fits the aquatic theme sorta, while megatron takes quite a bit of steps only to see most of that hidden by his nerf maverick shell.
@MaverickPrime2@Dr_Lockdown As for the turtle was a retool of a voyager and was $60 at a time when leaders were $50usd, but also the new parts and accessories all together total to being a release that's very much a hefty leader sized thing in mass. With some chrome that a typical release wouldn't have.
@MaverickPrime2@Dr_Lockdown I'm not sure I agree with the claim of them being overpriced for their time given they were generally heavily painted, and certainly had more accessories than the normal deluxes they released next to
@TFHypeGuy But they derive from a volcanicus and have multiple screen and comic appearances. Nexus has some relevance in IDW but not in an appearance that looks much like this.
@TFHypeGuy This is in the mostly nostalgia focused generations line. The other recent combiners they've done are either well known g1 bots or some kind of Optimus Prime variant like the armada stuff. Oh they did a little monstructor and dinoking, that's true....
@Dr_Lockdown Yeah there's not much to complain about these molds. The biggest complaints I can think of is that 4 of them don't have a SG repaint. The one that has a comic recolor was done poorly. And the default snarl had a plastic yellow that isn't close enough to the gold paint. Nice bots.
@Sliver_Nugget@JaceDarkfire@TFanPage101 I agree it doesn't deserve the Cyberverse title but it absolutely looks like animated slipstream based on her multiverse traveling upgrade in the legends comics. So extremely fitting for legacy given it's a multiverse convergence themed toyline.
