@melb4886@BlokeOnWheels When i was on an exceptionally low wage, I had a car that was gifted to me by a friend.
The total cost of tax, insurance, and petrol per month was not only cheaper than 4 weekly bus passes, it also saved me 3 hours A DAY, yes. A day. My commute in a car was 1hr (total) bus 4hrs
I swear the @The_Oodie £1 thing is a scam...
First I get this. I then find the £1 oodie, I am logged in ready to check out.
It's not even 7.01 and it tells me it's out of stock.
@_ryan_dt @ayrshireclaret@Dompotts_ They can't mirror it exactly as the stand isn't symmetrical.
@ayrshireclaret not only should they be doing works to ensure you have your seat, but part of the drive for this was to improve the experience for disabled supporters in the stand (both home and away)
@Davedaly51Dave@trina1982t2@ChrisWebbMP I have. My mother in law. A retired DWP fraud investigator.
PIP fraud is less than 0.5%
Fraud for universal credit (which includes those none disabled on things such as JSA) was 10%... They don't separate out disabled UC claimants from the figures.
@MichaelRosenYes I had extreme stomach pain, they took blood because of the location and severity of the pain. My appendix had ruptured 2 days earlier. The surgeon told me if she hadn't seen the bloodwork herself I'd have been sent home.
Attending a friend's wedding had me in bed for weeks. Going on holiday has me exhausted and unable to get out of bed for months.
Going on holiday. Think about that, The thing non disabled people do to relax leaves me exhausted.
@snowleopardess Also, there can't be anyone else in the house earning. My husband earns just over minimum wage. I'm entitled to £0 UC, just contribution based ESA. I was the breadwinner, our household has lost nearly £50k annually cause I can't currently work.
@killhopelaw @stomababe MECFS / hEDS here and hard same...
Going from £60k to £4680 is a shock and a half, and that's before people start telling you you're;
1. Faking it
2. Doing it for the benefits
3. Just lazy and don't want to work
4. MECFS isn't real.
@amiemetcalfe@adamfare1996 But we are surviving... what's the Norwegian saying...
I'm upright and not crying. If I have more days like that I'll take it.
