I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I have graduated from UCL with a Distinction in MA Medieval and Renaissance Studies. Including a Distinction in my dissertation!
What an experience. New friendships, languages and skills and academic opportunities I’ll never forget 🎓💛
Today marked my last day of being a student. My ID stops working tomorrow and all of my books are returned. I won’t pretend that I didn’t shed a few tears 🥹
Julie has uncovered a namestone on Lindisfarne - this early medieval grave marker is carved with a cross, celtic knotwork and runic letters.
We'll get this find cleaned up as soon as possible so we can start to decipher what name (or names) might be carved into it!

Having an amazing time interning at Lambeth Palace Library. I’m currently working on 17th and 18th century registers for private chaplains and parish expenditure
Decided to have some fun post exams so went to the Tower of London with a friend yesterday. Today I visited the new “Birds: Brilliant and Bizarre” exhibition at the Natural History Museum with my partner 🦤
Exams are finished, and I’ve taken 3 days off. I wasn’t happy with my performance but I did my best in the time I was given. Back to work today and excited to smash this dissertation!
First exam done, 2 left🥳. I love the amount of time that take-home exams allow, but my tendency to overthink an answer and panic is also a reason why I’m glad I never have to do one ever again🥳
