It’s been great having big A Level numbers. However, the mark load is 🤯, so it’s been whole class feedback all the way! Numbered points for strengths/improvements with student reflection, SPAG and mark scheme.
E.g. strengths 1,3,4 and improvements 4,5.

I have made booklets for every scheme in every year group and revision guides for literally everything on the papers this year. I have crowned myself the queen of making things look awesome.
I stopped using PowerPoint this year and replaced it with live modeling. It’s been 👌🏽 !
I use Goodnotes for live modeling. If I need an image to help communicate my message, I either draw it out myself or copy and paste it in there.
This is a hugely important piece by @PamelaSnow2. A very insightful application of cognitive load theory to neurodivergence and trauma-informed classroom practice. To the best of my knowledge there is no research on this topic and this has really illuminated my understanding on the topic both as a researcher but more importantly as a SEN parent. I do hope Pam explores this area further. https://t.co/O7YD4EDFbA

Strong KS3 does not begin in Year 10.
It begins in Year 7, when pupils are given serious texts, serious ideas and serious intellectual attention.
KS3 isn’t the bridge, it’s the foundation.

This is a massively powerful discussion from the wonderful Zara Shah. I know that the leaders at my trust would learn so much from you - not just head knowledge but concrete implementation strategies for our most vulnerable learners.

What strong KS3 looks like
and how to make it happen in practice
I’ve pulled this together in a new book:
KS3 The Ambitious Years (published 2 June)
It’s not a set of quick fixes.
More a framework for thinking clearly about Years 7–9.
