@LibbyPageWrites It's absolutely true for me, too. I used to look at the other parents who could spend so many more minutes than I could with their tiny lovelies, and wonder how they didn't get as tired and frustrated. It took ages to realise that what I was doing worked for my kids and me.
Family life and writer life don't always go together. In fact, quite a lot of the time, the deep writerly thoughts that I have (such as those are) are lost... But there are moments that I hold on to and that make me want to write afterwards, when it's quiet....
