Don't fear the Dark Mode 🖤 Our "Ultimate Guide to Dark Mode" is finally here to light your way!

[Litmus @litmusapp]

In our Ultimate Guide to Dark Mode, our very own @AliceLiCode walks through the email clients that offer Dark Mode, how each client's settings impact your email designs, and what you can do to improve your emails for subscribers that use Dark Mode >> https://t.co/di6IHxFok6

Hey #EmailGeeks! 👋 I finally dusted off my Medium account and did some science-ing on @gmail 's “102KB” clipping limit with some controlled tests on on different TXT, AMP, and HTML MIME part sizes. Hope you guys find it useful!

For the first time, the 2026 Email Accessibility Report audited newsletter and marketing platforms with built-in email builders.

We analyzed:
• 6,909 @Substack emails
• 2,189 @beehiiv emails
• 1,468 @Shopify Email campaigns

If the fact that your emails aren't Accessible doesn't get it prioritized in your backlog, maybe making it more AI-optimized will?

Just a helpful thought 😘

It's also worth re-iterating in this AI-inundated industry, on Global Accessibility Awareness Day (#GAAD), that:

✨ Accessible Email is AI-Optimized Email ✨

[Alice Li @AliceLiCode]

Email Markup Consortium's 2026 Email Accessibility Report shows that 99.88% of HTML emails tested contain accessibility issues categorized as "Serious" or "Critical". (That means: Probably your emails, too)

[Alice Li @AliceLiCode]

But not to worry -- Like I said above, the solutions are simple code updates that developers can implement right away.

Check out our report for our fixings & fixes or let's have a chat in the comments if you have any further questions: https://t.co/kpr7rxL6Zz

Did you know your emails are probably NOT Accessible? 😱 But that it's actually easy to fix?

Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day #GAAD, and we at @EmailMarkup are once again asking for your support to make emails for *everyone* with our 2026 Email Accessibility Report 🙌

[Email Markup Consortium @EmailMarkup]

While developers play a role, this is a systemic ecosystem problem across senders, tooling and email clients.

New this year in our 5th edition: Marketing and newsletter platforms that own the HTML code of the emails sent by its customers. Millions of users may be sending inaccessible emails, and they don't even know it!

"The report outlines a set of 20 HTML, CSS, and ARIA features they look for and found that only one email client of the 44 evaluated supports all of the features. Apple Mail and Samsung Email are apparently close behind, but the other 41? Not so much"

🔥🔥🔥 We're finally calling Google out for @gmail 's crimes against Accessibility

@jvanrijn Are you asking how to make them or what they can be used for?

[Alice Li @AliceLiCode]

Has anyone seen HDR emojis on Slack yet? Basically they stay at 100% eye-searing brightness and sometimes dims the rest of the screen to appear even brighter ☠️

Being my anxious self, I worry about Accessibility when someone decides they want their logos in HDR to "make it pop"

[Alice Li @AliceLiCode]

Here are the images I used to test --

HDR super-bright eyes (just opening this on Chrome and viewing it on a Macbook screen, you can see how extremely bright it is)

Normal eyes (apologies for the blurriness)

[Alice Li @AliceLiCode]

Also to note that it only works in Chrome (the top 2 browsers are Firefox & Safari)
