Love being a @biosecurityLIFE volunteer! Work party back in January, helping to build the units for the essential incursion hub equipment. It's vital we have this in place so we can act quickly to signs of invasive species on islands. Helping to protect seabirds.โค๏ธ
Birdwatching and being in nature = Happy place. Managed to see this Beautiful Drake Smew. Birdwatching captures the senses. Hearing sounds of Lapwing, Wigeon, Curlew and a shouty Wren. Feeling the bracing cold bite of wind and fresh sea air cleansing my lungs #Naturetherapy
Duck spotting at a very still and atmospheric Llyn Cefni. Plenty of wildfowl on the water, including this smart drake Goldeneye displaying to a female in the late morning sun.
My first Waxwings! What a sound! I was absolutely made up to catch up with the local flock that have been hanging around. Such a special moment we had to ourselves. Felt very lucky โค๏ธ

Made the most of the sunshine today and took part in the #BigButterflyCount. Some lovely views of common and holly blues, gate keepers, small copper, brown argus and more! Southern hawker dragonflies entertained us with amazing ariel displays riding up and down the glades.
A really enjoyable day helping out with this important work! It's vital to have these materials and plans in place in order to act fast to any potential threats to protect our precious seabirds! Great work team! ๐ช
Very poignant to hear a recording of the #Curlewโs beautiful call during a talk @RSPBConwy about the decline in their breeding population in Wales.
Seeing a nest brought home how vulnerable they are to predators.
Incredible work by @CurlewLIFE to protect these lovely waders.
