@RishiSunak It’s Time to talk. We are happy to take further strike action. Strange how there’s money in the pot for MP pay rises year on year yet no give for NHS staff and patient safety. Claps don’t pay bills. @WestMidlandsCSP@thecsp#CSP4FairPay
NHS physiotherapy staff in England are taking part in strike action over pay for the first time in our history.
Physiotherapy staff have been left with no choice but to strike.

Yes, the pressures at the front door are immense, but so many of the ‘solutions’ are directed at either increasing physical capacity in A&E or speeding up discharges through the back door. What about in between? Attention MUST be given to therapy/rehab services #therapy#rehab
Our drs and nurses are the complete backbone of the NHS, Absolutely distasteful in the current climate we face. We are all exhausted, yet we still turn up to work to give 150% every single day. We have to, because our patients need us to #gotyourbackNHS
This is what NHS staff woke up to this morning. A rally talking about hanging doctors and nurses. This has caused considerable distress amongst NHS staff.
If you’re still behind NHS staff please tweet with the hashtag #gotyourbackNHS.
Let’s show staff they are appreciated 🙏🏻
48553 cases today. 100 more patients in ICU with covid19 than 5days ago. No one talking about covid length of stay so I will.
Median ICU stay:-
Heart/major cancer surgery 1-2d
Covid (not ventilated) 5d
Covid (ventilated) 20d
Covid (kidney support) 32d
Do the maths
Amongst the smiles, compassion, and empathy that we provide to our patients on a daily basis is fatigue and burn out. Things are certainly improving which is great, but we all have our limits. Take time to check in with others and welcome a safe space to talk #COVID19#NHSheroes
Just one of the many roles we #AHPs have in supporting with the COVID-19 pandemic. Here a colleague and I were helping a patient make his breathing more comfortable by clear his chest and commencing rehabilitation to regain his function

Hope you enjoy a picture of a colleague and I spending our working day #twiddlingourthumbs as a physiotherapist. Whilst supporting covid-19 patients to make their breathing more comfortable and commence their rehabilitation
Thanks for the nomination @emily_last_ (apologies its late!)
3 things I do for my mental health
1. Making to do lists and prioritising work
2. Regularly check in with colleagues (I’m incredibly lucky for my supportive team) and loved ones (who I talk at 😂)
3. Exercise outside!
3 yrs training and almost 2 years in the job and yet nothing can prepare us for what we have been faced with. I have the amazing support colleagues and loved ones. There is an inspiring sense of teamwork, every person has stepped to deliver excellent care to every patient. #proud
