Pleased to be working with @SignatureDeaf to support @educationgovuk plans for the #BSL#GCSE. This has taken too long, but it now feels that real progress is being made. The BSL GCSE will expand choice, support careers and recognise prior learning of a native British language.
While there is still a lot to be accomplished, we would like to highlight @GiveUsAShout, the 24-hour free text service that can be a helpful resource to any #Deaf person.
If you need support with your mental health, text DEAF to 85258. #WMHD2021#DeafMentalHealth

I'm so excited to be part of DANCE CAN'T NICE, an exhibition at @HornimanMuseum exploring London's Black music spaces. I'll be showcasing the British Sign Language versions of key slang words and phrases from Black British music culture through an interactive video.
Wow. Imagine if Sign Language was taught across state schools instead, in an effort to erase communication barriers, and increase equality and better access for young people?
The review includes signed and spoken language, hearing and deaf parents and children of all hearing levels. We appraise both the parent behaviours assessed in PCI and the methods used, as well as making recommendations for the field academically and clinically.
