@CalltoActivism@joncoopertweets Not only are states banning abortions but also making it illegal for women to go to another state for one. This is not about being pro-life. They don’t care about the mother or the baby.
This is about CONTROL.
It needs to be stopped.
NOW.
🚨🚨🚨OUTRAGEOUS! An Oklahoma Woman with with a non-viable pregnancy says the hospital told her to sit in the parking lot “until you bleed out.”
Jaci Statton, 25, was sick and bleeding from her partial molar pregnancy but the Oklahoma abortion ban prevented doctors from performing any procedure to help her remove the life threatening tissue.
"Oklahoma has three abortion bans in effect, and each of them has different language in describing the medical exceptions," says Rabia Muqaddam, senior staff attorney at the Center for Reproductive Rights. "It's resulted in extreme confusion about what constitutes a sufficient health condition for a doctor to provide a medically necessary abortion."
"A team of doctors and specialists came in and told us, 'There's nothing that we can do according to Oklahoma law. We can't even really touch you,'" Jaci recalls.
Jaci’s story is like potentially thousands like her. Women’s freedom isn’t just about choices, it’s literally about life and death.
If you are or have a wife, daughter, mother, or friend, we need to think about women’s freedom on a personal level. Their lives could be next.
If you’ve seen this video and it’s made you laugh, I need your help. My uncle, Rob Hines, AKA Toby Jones is fighting for the rights to his character, who he brought to life while fighting a rare kidney disease. Please read his letter, share w your friends, & consider buying Merch
This is why they don’t want to teach our history! But this needs to be taught so it never happens again! Read this! They described us like animals! But we suppose to forget that shit happen. Your kids don’t have to be like those in the past! They can be better! they need to know!
In 2023 gyms need to start enforcing policy that if you’re caught taking photos or videos of someone without their consent to post on social media to bully, shame, or embarrass them, your membership is automatically revoked and you’re banned from the gym. Gyms need to do better.
i'd be lying if i said i didn't get in my feelings about the way people treat me, but i've learned it's life & everybody isn't me. everybody don't show the same love i show.... &' for that i'll be okay.
If you are okay with having Muslim, Jewish and Hindu students sit through a Christian prayer in public school, and not okay with having Christian students sit through a Muslim, Jewish or Hindu prayer, then it’s NOT religious freedom- it’s religious oppression.
Abortion is legal in California.
It will remain that way.
I just signed a bill that makes our state a safe haven for women across the nation.
We will not cooperate with any states that attempt to prosecute women or doctors for receiving or providing reproductive care.
Gonna be very weird if Supreme Court ends a constitutional right to obtain an abortion next week, saying it should be left to the States to decide, right after it just imposed a constitutional right to concealed carry of firearms, saying it cannot be left to the States to decide
If you’re against abortion, don’t get one.
If you’re against contraception, don’t take any.
If you’re against same-sex relationships, don’t have one.
If you’re against same-sex marriage, don’t marry someone of same gender.
Do not impose your beliefs & religion on all Americans.
Suicide is the saddest thing ever. Do you know how dark your thoughts and feelings have to be to get to that point? Praying for anyone dealing with silent battles smh
