If it is clear, I'll probably bring a scope tonight to show the comet. Probably Westcrest North lot, (maaaaybe Lowman Beach, Constellation Park).
Best viewing: your eyes and maybe binocs (any kind!). Telephoto/zoom lenses are also useful! Look West after sunset.

An aurora is like if a rainbow put on a ballet 🩰🌈 I'm still in awe of what I witnessed yesterday! Can you see Mt Baker in the bottom left? I didn't even realize it was visible until I started processing the pics #aurora#auroraborealis#camanoisland#seattle#pnw
@westseattleblog Lincoln Park beach walk should also work. Solstice Park might need another day until the comet is higher.
Jason would like you to know this is a terrible photo, but it's better than mine was!
I have confirmed that these locations have decent view lines for the comet from West Seattle: Westcrest Park, Lowman Beach, Constellation Park, the view across from Mee-Kwa-Mooks, & Myrtle Reservoir walking paths.

Aurora alert. We have reached KP 8 on a scale that goes 0-9. Usually these storms don't last long enough for the KP to still be this high by the time it is dark in Seattle, but the May storm did, so it is worth paying attention today. Clear skies tonight.

@outseide It's better very late ... if it is still happening. But to be honest, it is better viewing *when it is going on* rather than waiting for midnight and having it fizzle out in those intervening hours.
